this is my updated video on low porosity hair I've done a video similar to this and back then we didn't have too many options we had to make do with what we had this video you have so many options that you'll be spoiled for choices so let's hop right into it let's start with shampoos the first option that I have to give you guys is the plum avocado and aen Frizz Control shampoo this retails for 288 rupees after using all the discount codes Etc you're getting 250 ml of product which is honestly a bang for your buck this is a moisturizing shampoo that is quite cleansing it is a protein-free Formula I would not use a prepoo while using this shampoo next I'm going to recommend plums T3 dandruff control shampoo this shampoo has had multiple makeovers I'll inser the current packaging right here again you're paying 288 rupees after using discount codes you're getting 250 ml of product which is again a bang for your buck now this shampoo is much more cleansing than the first one that I spoke about it's a protein free formula it is cleansing it is quite lathering it'll give you that nice squeaky clean feeling this shampoo is almost like a clarifying shampoo and so if you have low paracity hair that has a lot of buildup I feel like this will be a very very good fit for you even if you don't have dandruff next let's talk about conditioners the first one that I have to talk about is again the plum avocado and Aran Frizz Control conditioner you're getting 175 ml of product for 288 rupees after using discount codes now this conditioner is a lightweight conditioner it is protein free it doesn't have the best lips so I would not wet detangle with this product next we have the ril Basu conditioner now this is a much thicker conditioner if you're looking for something lightweight go for the plum conditioner but if you're looking for something heavier then you can go for the Basu conditioner now this is much thicker so you have to be careful if you like heavy products then you're going to like this if you like light products you probably won't like this now this conditioner has great slip Mak making it ideal for wet detangling but one little note what happens when you wet detangle you tend to use a little extra conditioner right the main issue with low prosty hair is it gets over moisturized very very very very very easily this is an issue that I've also been struggling with so I'll talk about it a little later in the video for now keep this in mind if you need something lightweight go with the plum conditioner if you need something slightly heavier go with the Basu conditioner if you're using the Basu conditioner and your hair gets over moisturized very easily make sure you wash the conditioner off thoroughly before you start styling your hair let's talk about deep conditioning you don't have to deep condition your hair that regularly if you have low prity hair you can do it like once in a month or once in two months and you should be perfectly okay but if you looking for a deep conditioner the only deep conditioner that I found that is protein-free in India is the plum avocado nourish up hair mask I've used so many samples that I can easily give you a review for this in a nutshell it is a protein-free formula it is not as light as the previous mask from Plum that was way lighter but that had protein this one is slightly heavier but this one does not have protein and so it might be a better fit for you you can't wet detangle with this product because it does not have enough slip when you're using a conditioning product or a deep conditioner that does not have slip you'll be better off if you do a wash now style later routine I'll leave some here up in the cards for you to check out let's talk about this hair mask you're getting 150 ml for 5 540 rupees after you use discount codes and stuff if you're not sure if this product is for you you can pick it up on smitten you can sample it before picking up the full-size product but listen this is the best advice that I can give you if you have low prosty hair you don't need to go out and buy a deep conditioning mask just use your conditioner it should be perfectly sufficient you might not need such a heavy product in the first place but listen caveats caveats caveats if you have a tighter curl pattern and you have low prity hair then your hair may be able to take heavier products when it comes to low prosity hair you can't have a one size fits-all mentality because your hair texture your curl pattern and your paracity all three factors will determine how heavy or how light you prefer your moisturization to be ultimately when it comes to Hair Care you have to hit that right balance of moisturization and that is the key for all hair essentially now that we're coming to leave-in conditioners and gels I want to talk about over moisturization because oh my goodness I have medium prosty hair now the amount of times and the amount of failed wash tast that I've personally had in the last few months just because my products were way too heavy for me or I wasn't using them the right way this is going to be your biggest struggle and so when you're picking stylers for your hair this is something that you could do first start with a gel see if the gel is too heavy for your hair if it is enough for your hair then stop right there if you feel like the gel is not heavy enough then you can consider adding a leave-in conditioner to the mix you'll need to experiment a little to see what combination gives you the best definition and volume sometimes your conditioner could be moisturizing enough for you and the only thing that you need to do during styling is hold this is exactly why I'm saying start with the gel if you feel like the gel is not enough and you want a little more moisturization then you can consider adding a leave-in conditioner to your routine you can see that for each product I've put in little notes you can pause the video and screenshot these sections you'll see that under the notes for gels I've put in whether the gel gives you some moisturization or if it's a weightless formula the safest option in my opinion is to start with a gel that is a weightless formula and then after that see if you need to add a leave-in to your routine now let's talk about leave-in conditional the first one is The Fix My Curls Ready Set refresh spray I've been meaning to do a demo with this product for the longest time anyway you're getting 100 ml of product for 386 rupees this would be perfect for hair that needs the lightest moisturization possible it is a watery formula you can also use this to refresh your hair I would not recommend detangling with this product and for hair that needs way more moisturization this would be a great primer to start your styling routine with next we have the sugarbook Cur defining cream now this is not a cur cream it is more like a leave-in conditioner this is not a protein-free product you have protein way down in the list you can use it as a oneand done because it gives you a very light cast it also gives you some very decent shrinkage and definition after using discount codes Etc you're paying 261 rupees for 100 ml of product which is a complete bang for your buck next we have the Arata leave-in conditioner now this is my third tube that I'm about to open I've already finished two of these already this is a very lightweight product after using discount codes and stuff you're paying 244 rupees for 100 ml of product this is a protein-free Formula it is very very lightweight I would say this is like a level two product if you're looking for more moisture combine this with a soft to medium hole gel and if you're looking for very little moisturization then combine this with a hardle gel next we have the ashba moisture milk this is a protein-free Formula now this is on the heavier side I would say it's almost like a curl cream because it's quite thick a little bit goes a long way it gives you very decent definition it also gives you very decent volume if you don't like heavy products you probably won't like this although with curl creams you can really manipulate it if you use a teeny tiny amount and dilute it with water then you can get away with using something like this if you've used ashas leave-in conditioner and you're looking for a comparison this is much thicker than the leave-in conditioner this is a 50 ml tube you're getting it for 331 rupees if you don't find it on Amazon you'll find it on the ashba botanics website under the travel sizes section next we have the Fix My Curls curl quenching butter this is a new tube I've noticed that they've changed the fragrance now this comes in a fruity fragrance which is so much better than the previous one this comes in multiple sizes you can pick up the 100 G tube for 500 rupees this product also gives you a gel cast making it perfect to use as a one and done but please remember that this is on the heavier side so if your hair likes heavy products then you can check this out these were all the leave-in conditioners let me give you my best advice possible if you're looking for a super duper light product go with a level one like this if you're looking for something heavier go with a level two like this if you're looking for something heavier still then go for a level three product and if you need something super duper heavy then go for a level four product like this next let's talk about gels I'm going to start with the dove beautiful curls hair gel this is a serum gel it gives you medium hold you can build it up to be a firm hard hold this is a weightless formula it gives you hold without adding any moisture to the hair does your hair get over moisturized very easily if it does then this is the product for you for medium porosity hair this is a very good product to refresh with because it doesn't add any moisture to the hair let's say midweek your hair is completely moisturized but your hair is lacking some definition and so you need a product that gives gives you a little bit of hold this product will do just that next let's talk about arata's original styling gel you're getting 50 ml for 209 rupees and you're getting 150 ml for 454 rupees after using discount codes the formula is protein free it gives you excellent frizz control and it gives you very nice shiny results this is a weightless formula it does not add any moisture to the hair making it a good fit for larity hair if you like soft hold next we have the northish Cur defining custard this is a great product for beginers because it gives you that gloopy feeling while styling the gloopy feeling that I'm talking about helps you add extra definition while you're scrunching your hair so it's very important to look for in gels if definition is your main issue it's a protein-free product this product has some weight of its own it gives you a little bit of moisture and so it makes a very good oneandone fall op rosty hair if soft hold is your thing then you're going to like this product next we have the Fix My Curls curl quenching jelly you'll pay anywhere between 260 rupe to 360 8 rupe for 100 G of product again this gel has some weight on its own if it has weight then it makes a good one and done it has a jelly-like consistency it gives you that nice gloopy feeling while scrunching next we have the curup ultra defining hair gel this comes in two sizes I couldn't find the smallest size on Amazon right now either way right now you're getting 200 mL for 711 rupees again this is a protein free formula it gives you a very nice gel cast it tackles frizz very well let's say I had to compare these two gels this this is more moisturizing a little less hold comparatively this is a little less moisturizing and it has more hold comparatively both gels do have some weight this is heavier this is lighter this is stronger hold this is softer hold both have some weight and so both will work as a oneand done if you need a little more moisture use this if you need a little less moisture use this next we have one of my favorites true frog styling gel for curls you're getting 100 G for 476 rupees after using discount codes protein-free formula has some weight on its own will work as a oneandone gives you a very strong cast if you have a very strong gel cast you have very nice Frizz Control this is a medium whole gel you can build it up to be a stronghold next we have the northish natural styling gel you're getting two sizes 50 ml and 200 mL 50 ml you'll get for 117 rupees which is a crazy price point and for the 200 mL you're paying 446 rupees it's a weightless formula that gives you a very good gel cast great at controlling frizz it gives you very nice robust Cur clumps if your hair gets weight down very easily your hair is always over moisturized then go with something that is a weightless formula if you're looking for a weightless formula with stronghold then go for this if you're looking for a weightless formula with softer to medium hold then go for the other products that I spoke about now if you want very very hard hold the most firm hold possible then you can go for the Giovani La hold gel this is a thick gel thicker gels have to be diluted before using them to avoid user error I feel like stronghold gels get get a really bad wrap because of user error I personally love them my hair looks the best during the week when I use a stronghold gel it also gives me the best volume please understand that if you use a lot of leave-in conditioner or if you've gone very heavy on your deep conditioning or your conditioning then your hair could be over moisturized if it's over moisturized you are not going to get a cast you're going to be left with very soft soggy results I get a lot of comments around this area and so I want to address this let's say you've chosen a hard hole gel to use if you use too much gel then your hair is going to feel dry it is going to feel rough and you're not going to be happy on day two day three your hair is also going to feel extremely Tangled on the other hand if you use too little gel or if you use too much leave-in conditioner or by mistake you've used too much conditioner or you've deep conditioned and it was too heavy for your hair then you're not going to get a cast your results are going to feel very over moisturized so be careful about these two things so that you avoid user error when you're using a hard hole gel if the gel is really thick make sure you dilute it with water this goes for all of your products while you're styling but for hard hold thicker gels especially dilute it on the palm of your hands and then apply it to your hair next if you're looking for a hair mousse check this out this is the Giovani hair mousse it has some weight on its own it's a medium hold product it will work as a oneand done be careful with the quantity that you use because if you use too much this can potentially over moisturize your hair next let's talk about serums that you can use on the lengths of your hair midweek to dry refresh with for low prosty hair I'm going to recommend grape seed oil and Aran oil because both these oils can penetrate the hair shaft this is the grape seed oil that I use I'm fresh out of the agan oil okay so that was pretty much it I lost all of the audio from the first time that I shot and so now I'm having to refilm the last bit of it I put in a lot of effort into all of my videos so if you appreciate it then hit the like button if you have any questions leave them down in the comments
