this video is sponsored by grammarly so you're kind of screwed you're not prepared for your exam but you're watching youtube videos shouldn't you i don't know study right now instead of making yourself feel stressed then you procrastinate because you're stressed which in turn makes you more stressed and now you're also anxious it'll take a little bit of time before you learn how to stop torturing yourself but in the meantime bestie here are some last minute study tips for your exams to save your grades if you're someone that has a habit of cramming for exams listen to the last study tip no teacher taught me this and it actually saved my grades here's a sneak peek when exam starts do not open your paper flip to the back then be sure to watch till the end of the video to know what that study tip is first skip the questions copy the answers now i'm not asking you to cheat during your exams okay basically during revision you ideally want to read your textbook first then do questions but if you seriously have no time take your pass to your papers or sample questions just write down all the bullet points or answers from the marking scheme study these model answers only refer to your textbook if you don't understand anything to save your time i usually do this a day or two before exams if i just want to reinforce some extra knowledge without having to do questions but this study tip is also really effective if you don't know anything and you want to cram you're automatically be studying exactly what the teacher or marking scheme wants next save your time and skip to the back in the beginning of each chapter of every textbook there will be a section outlining all the key points in the chapter this is not what we want to focus on right now because we are rushing i've mentioned a few times before to focus on the learning objectives when studying a subject and this study tip will already save you a lot of time because you'd just be studying what is important in the chapter first before moving to other parts in this case since we're cramming for exams just skip to the back of the chapter usually there will either be a list of questions they want you to answer or a summary of the entire chapter read the summary highlight any keywords you don't understand and work backwards from there if there are questions answer the questions a lot of the time the exam will just pick these questions then twist and turn the way they ask them but the concept and the answers are similar so take advantage of the last page of every chapter next another time saving tip i'll tend to write a lot of essays when exam season is coming and if i want to get them checked super fast i just use grammarly i've been using grammarly since secondary school because it's a lecture conducted by the university of melbourne and they talked about a time management technique called frills frequent regular intensive limited sessions basically if you want to do a study marathon where you study the whole day make sure that your study sessions are short but intense that way you'll have the stamina to sustain until the night so let's just say you want to study for eight hours in a day you study for 2 hours first from 8 am to 10 am rest for 30 minutes study again for 2 hours rest for 2 hours study for 2 hours again then a 3 hour break get this you study for 8 hours but you also had more than five hours of rest time how amazing is that if you want to study for 10 hours your schedule will look like this don't try to wake up at 6 00 am then study until midnight with no breaks your brain will turn into mush and your eyes will fry off if you want to know how to focus when studying and stop daydreaming then check out my video here next videos and cheat sheets an advertisement might play in the next few seconds so if you want to support this channel please do not skip the ads thank you if you're sitting for a big national or international exam chances are there are a lot of videos on youtube that explain summaries about a topic or a subject if you're trying to cram an entire subject in one day just watch these videos if you have a little more time then watch these videos before you start revising so that you do not go into revision completely clueless click the three little dots at the corner of the video and open transcript to read what the presenter is saying then click settings and change the playback speed to 1.5 to speed up the video you can refer to the transcript at the side for the keywords write down the keywords as you're watching the video do not just stare at the screen that's a form of passive studying and you end up not remembering anything watching videos is such an effective study tip you'll learn really fast because you're implementing something called multi-sensory learning basically by using more than one sense when learning something in this case watching listening and writing information is more likely to stick after you're done go through the keywords again without referring to the video and make a simple mind map connecting all the concepts you understand you can also do this search online for summaries of the chapter or cheat sheets don't do any notes you don't have the time just read those cheat sheets or summaries next this study tip will save your exam this is a study tip that i accidentally figured out in secondary school because i was cramming for my exams when the teacher tells you that the exam has started do not open the paper flip to the back use the first five minutes to dump everything that you know on the last page all the keywords processes formulas everything if you cramped chances are all the information is floating around in space you do not have the information stored in your long term memory so use the first five minutes to scribble down everything that you know or else you're going to forget it 30 minutes into the exam when it's time for you to answer essay questions you can just refer to all the keywords that you have written on the last page you can do this study tip even if you don't cram i do this all the time now please like this video because i exposed my secret if you have made it this far comment down below do you prepare early or do you tend to cram for your exams i'd be sure to reply you for some extra good luck be sure to like
