Oh Do not just tell me I just broke my freaking new suitcase Freaking a I love my life. I want to set a few things up for you guys right now before we get started. First, I have a huge giant pimple right there.
Just got it, so good way to start this trip. Second, this is my first time to Australia. Also, my first time out of the country in general.
I'm kind of losing my mind right now. Not really, but kind of. Also because I'm going to surprise Jess.
See what happens when you leave the US and go to Australia. You skip two days. So if you leave Sunday night, which I'm doing, I'll arrive there.
Tuesday morning. Jess thinks I'm leaving Tuesday night and arriving there Thursday morning. So, the plan is to surprise her.
I've currently been scheming with Jess mother on how to make this work, and Jess mom is gonna pick me up in the morning from the airport bright and early. I might get to the house while Jess is still asleep. She might be awake, not sure what's gonna be happening.
So once we get to the house, her mom's gonna go in, figure out what's going on. We're gonna make a game plan, and maybe have Jess walk out to us. Maybe I'll go in and surprise her.
I have no idea what's gonna happen. Hopefully it works, fingers crossed, but uh, let's go. I'm nervous.
Half because a flight over the Pacific Ocean is a long 14 hour flight, but also I really want to make sure this works and surprise Jess. So, yeah, fingers crossed. Bless up. Made it to LAX.
Heh heh, come on. So I realize that you guys may be a little confused about how I'm pulling this off since it's a 14 hour flight and I won't be responding to Jess for 14 hours. Basically what happens is when I go to sleep at night, I'm not responding to her for the whole time. I'm sleeping obviously, but then she goes to sleep in Australia about an hour or two before I end up waking up, so then she's asleep for that whole time.
So we're not actually talking for a long period of time. My flight leaves at night when I would normally fall asleep so I'm gonna be asleep that whole time not responding to her anyway. She goes to sleep, not checking her phone because she's asleep. When I arrive, she wakes up, boom, flames. Jess is being super nosy right now and asking me if I've had a productive day and I told her that I have.
I filmed some stuff. I'm editing now. I'm not, I'm at the airport. And I also told her that I have some meetings tomorrow morning just so she goes out.
and have an idea that I'm actually gonna be in Australia tomorrow morning. And then she starts asking me what the meetings are for and what I filmed and I told her, I just made up some random, you know, claims about the meetings and I told her that I filmed a remaking of Musical.ly's, which I totally didn't film, that's a lie. I feel so bad lying to her, I really do.
Like, ugh, I haven't done something like this before, so like, I'm totally lying through my teeth. But it's a surprise. It's a surprise, God understands.
I'm not actually lying, God gets it. God invented surprises, right? Right?
He invented surprises. He surprised Mary with baby Jess. Yeah, yeah, that's a way to justify it.
So I have been flying for 12 hours now. I haven't filmed a thing, but I've been sleeping the whole entire time, which I don't know how I did that. I became a pro at sleeping on planes.
Plus, they upgraded me randomly to first class. I was walking through, and I gave them my ticket, and it didn't work, and I was like, oh my gosh. And they were like, oh, no, we switched your seat. So I was like, oh, okay, that's weird. So they gave me a new ticket, and I'm like, uh, what's this?
It's just a different seat number. I get here, I'm in a freaking bed. I'm in a bed.
God bless. from West America, or Australia rather. Hey man. We're so close, we're so close.
Only two hours left. Oh, and I'm watching the sunrise right now. Check this out.
Coffee and the word, baby, come on. Yo, I see land, I freaking see Australia right now. This is so crazy, check this out.
This is legit so cool. I feel like a little kid on a Disney ride. So Jess mama just picked me up and we are headed back to surprise her.
There's no steering wheel on the left side of the car. This is the weirdest thing. I like, I was like ready for it to happen but but it's actually really strange when it's happening.
Did you go back to sleep? Yeah. Oh, Jess, why are you asleep, my darling?
I asked Daddy to wake you up to get the, you know, to do what you needed to do. He kind of did wake me up, but not really. I can't believe you went back to sleep. Mom, I hate you.
Oh, darling. Alright, well do you want to keep sleeping? Pardon?
Do you want to keep sleeping? No, I'm out now. I'm going to have a shower.
You're going to have a shower? Okay. I'm on my way back, that's all. Where did you go?
Just on the north side. I just had an early appointment and it was only short so I'm on my way back. So I'll be back in about a half an hour or so. Okay, so today, wait, is today Tuesday? Yep.
He flies tomorrow afternoon. But he lands here Thursday so it's two more sleeps, is that right? Yeah. How's your butterflies? What?
Are you excited? Yeah. Love you, bye.
Love you, see ya. She has no clue. She's so excited. She's so so excited.
I've never seen her so excited Hi Bob Hi, um Um Don't show Um... Are you rocked? Yeah, no, sorry. Um, so I think my periods don't know which is cool. But...
We stopped to get flowers for Jess! First time using Australian money. That was weird.
Jess mom just went into the house to scope out the situation. Uh, I'm nervous and I really want this to work. I really hope this works out.
I don't know what I'm doing. So I'm hiding in a room and Jess is still in the bathroom. When she goes out, her mom is going to tell her to walk into this room. And I'm going to be sitting here with the flowers, ready to surprise her.
Here. I'm sticky. It's okay.
What? Oh my god! What?
Hey. Are you okay? Hey.
Hey. Oh my gosh, I'm shaking. I got you four first.
Here, I'll put him down for now. Let me hug you. Sweet, what are you...I'm shaking so bad. Shaking. I'm so sleepy.
I have fake tan on. Hey. What the heck? What are you doing here? I wanted to surprise you.
Hey. Wait, mom's already met you. Are you crying?
I'm just so confused. I'm I just wanted to surprise you. I put you in the fire.
I lied to you. I came to surprise you, didn't I? This is so weird!
Sweet! Are you okay? This is so weird. Oh my gosh, mum, you were brushing me out of the bathroom.
Because of me! You're finding it weird that your texts aren't going through, are you? Yes. Oh my gosh!
You were on the plane! Yeah! You left yesterday? Yeah I did. How was your flight?
It was fine, they upgraded me to first class. Yeah, I had a bed. I slept for like 10 hours.
Are you awake? I'm good. I'm chilling. Are you okay?
My cheeks hurt from smiling. Can we have coffee now? Hey, say hi. Oh.
Here's more flowers. You have too many flowers. Sweet. I am shaking.
How do you feel? Say hi. Hi.
I'm so confused. Sweet. I woke up.
I was like, he's flying tomorrow. I know. And I was listening to your phone calls in the car when you were talking to your mom.
I was right there. I could have been like, hi. That is so weird!
Alright, well, you saw it! Goodbye! Mwah!
Mom! Mwah! So before I finish this, Jess has had this ready for me for days apparently. I have.
You're the best. Isn't she the best, guys? She's the best. Alright, official goodbye.
I've had it ready since... Oh, sorry. Since when?
Since Sunday. It is Tuesday, and she thought I was coming Thursday, so she was... I was prepared.
You were four days ahead. I was excited. Thanks, babe. You're welcome.
Love you. Love you. Bye.
