[Music] whether you're entering the workforce for the first time or looking to change fields deciding on a career can be tough one way to narrow down your choices is to evaluate yourself and what's important to you let's take a look at some different needs and preferences you can assess your interests identify any hobbies or activities you enjoy or anything that fulfills you you may be able to find a career related to these being invested in and excited about the work you're doing is important your personality personal characteristics and qualities are good things to consider are you an introvert or an extrovert do you like to work alone or in a group are you more creative or analytical your values how important is it for a company's values to align with your own you'll probably have a more positive experience if you can find a workplace with an environment and culture that suits you your skills identify skills that you're good at these can be concrete like knowledge of certain computer programs or they can be abstract like problem-solving or creativity after evaluating these different qualities you'll probably have a better grasp of which careers might interest you good luck Goodwill Community Foundation creating opportunities for a better life
