welcome to firsty tech let's talk about our attendance policies to help you succeed to be counted as entering class you must attend at least one scheduled meeting or submit an online course entry assignment via Blackboard by your sections census date equivalent to 10% of the class's dates missing this means you'll be withdrawn for lack of attendance attendance and active participation are vital it's your responsibility to keep up with class information and assignments if you miss 14 consecutive calendar days without attending or showing academic participation you'll be withdrawn from the course after the census date here's how you can meet the weekly attendance requirements one attend a class in person two submit or complete an academic assignment exam interactive tutorial or computer assisted instruction three attend a designated study group or lab four participate in online discussions or activities related to the course five initiate contact with your faculty member to discuss academic topics however these activities do not count as attendance being physically absent from a class with scheduled seated time logging into an online course without participating or emailing a faculty member about non-academic topics stay engaged and stay on track firsty Tech is here to support you every step of the way for more information contact your advisor or instructor let's make this semester a success together
