<Intro Sound, Explosion Sound> Hi, I'm Bob and I'm doing the safety briefing with you. Important beforehand: please take a moment, because the safety briefing is mandatory. Whether you have understood the content will always be checked afterwards in a quiz and on site. In order to work at events, personal protective equipment is required. In very noisy work environments, such as In front of loudspeakers or in the stage area, ear defenders or ear plugs must be used. Effective weather protection protects you against rain, cold, draughts, heat or direct sunlight. At workplaces in traffic areas, a high-visibility vest helps you to be seen and noticed better. Jewelry such as large rings or necklaces may not be worn on duty. The right shoes are particularly important. They must be stable and closed. When working outdoors, it is important that your shoes are warm and water-repellent. If an accident happens - don't panic! First aid and emergency facilities are provided in every venue and marked in green. Minor injuries can be treated on site and by the first aider using the contents of the first aid kit. But you are also a first aider! It is important that in the event of an accident, help is given immediately and work is interrupted. In the event of a medical emergency, emergency services must be called on the Euro emergency number 112. Also inform your supervisor. If you have a radio, first press the talk button, wait a moment for the connection to be established, and then clearly say "Where" the accident happened or at which point you need support! Please always remain available for questions! When you provide first aid, always check first whether the person is conscious and breathing. Otherwise, start resuscitation measures immediately with chest compressions or, better yet, follow the instructions given to you by a defibrillator. If you suspect back injuries after a fall, never help the person get up, but have the emergency services clarify this. Allergic reactions to food, work materials or those caused by insect bites should not be underestimated . It is important to contact emergency services at the first suspicion or signs of allergic reactions, because allergic reactions can sometimes worsen quickly and dramatically. If you would like to be trained as a company first aider, simply let your contact person know who can support you with your project. Escape and traffic routes are all streets, paths and connections on the event site on which people and vehicles can move. Forklifts, trucks and crane vehicles always have priority on traffic routes and can easily overlook you, even with a high-visibility vest. Therefore, maintain a minimum distance of 2m from moving vehicles and establish visual contact with the driver if you are unable to maintain this safe distance. It is forbidden and very dangerous if you stand in the blind spot and cannot be seen. Blind places after doors and gates are dangerous because you always have to expect that someone can suddenly come towards you. During crane work and generally when work is carried out above you, the area below is a restricted zone and may not be entered. Escape routes are marked in green and show you the quickest way to reach a safe place and meeting point. Since escape routes mean the difference between life and death in the event of an evacuation or fire, they must not be blocked or used to deposit or temporarily store material. In particular, doors that lead outside in the escape area must always be able to be opened safely and must not be blocked from outside. On the fire protection plan you can see the escape route and the rescue facilities. The fire safety regulations state what you should do in the event of a fire: stay calm, report the fire loudly and activate the fire alarm. After you have gotten yourself and your team to safety, dial the emergency number. and attempts to extinguish the fire would be too dangerous. Fire protection equipment must always be freely accessible and must not be blocked. The additional boards inform you about possible dangers, specific protective devices or the fire department access. If you need to use the fire extinguisher, pull the safety pin out of the anchor, aim the hose at the fire with the direction of the wind and as close as possible to the core of the fire, and only then press the release lever. If you are unable to leave a building due to the fire, try to seal the bottom of the door, draw attention to yourself and wait near the ground at the nearest window. The blue mandatory signs tell you what you should do. The red prohibition signs show what is strictly prohibited. Riding or being lifted on forklifts. But talking on the phone, listening to music with headphones or wearing backpacks while working can also lead to dangerous situations. Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking areas. Photography is prohibited until further notice. You may not lean on backdrops or parts of the stage. Heavy lifting and carrying is particularly prohibited for pregnant women. And of course there is an absolute ban on alcohol and drugs, before and during work, and on the entire event site. The yellow triangular signs warn you of specific dangers. Such as high current, suspended loads, laser beams or risk of explosion. Hazardous substance labels declare environmentally harmful, toxic or carcinogenic contents of packaging and containers. Finally, it should be said that you are only allowed to take breaks in those areas that your supervisor tells you. At the event, please find out about toilet facilities in your area, the location of the lounges/break rooms and where you can find your food. If you see broken barriers, tripping hazards or damaged material at the event, let your supervisor know and secure the dangerous area. Make sure you separate your waste correctly and never dispose of batteries with the rest of the rubbish. Before starting work, make sure that you have saved the contact details of your supervisor and can reach them at any time. Please come to the meeting point early enough, pay attention to the safety briefing on site and adhere to the instructions discussed there. I wish you good luck with the quiz questions and thank you for your attention.
