Techniques for Removing Nut Marks

disclaimer this technique will not work in co2 models such as gold or titanium finishes hello everyone I'm Hiro and today I would like to show you how to remove or make you less visible nut mark on the model fortune easy example we will use eg 1:144 rx-78 gundam the first thing we do is remove a part from the screw leaving a little bit of gate behind once the piece has been removed from the sprue we think cut off the remaining gate to get a clean surface however you will notice a nut mark that is very visible in order to remove this or make this less visible we start sanding the surface we start off with a 400 grit sanding material and start sanding away until the naught mark is less visible once you are satisfied we then proceed with higher grit sanding material in which this example use a 600 grit 800 grit and finally 1500 grit once you reach 1500 grit that would be enough to paint the piece to get a nice clean finish but instead of painting we will start polishing the surface notice how the sheen of the surface is a little different from the other surfaces that haven't been sanded we want to get a semi-gloss finish so in order to get this we grab a 4000 grit sanding material and start polishing once you've polished a surface with 4000 grit you can stop here but if you are unsatisfied then you can go further and polish your surface with 8000 grits [Music] and here you have it the null mark has been removed from our eyes will you see that this video can also be applied to removing seam lines and if you found this technique helpful leave a like and subscribe to my channel which I'll post more videos if you have a question don't leave a comment so that can't help out this was here oh and thank you for watching [Music]
