Installing Unreal Engine

Step 1: Download the Installation Wizard

• Run the installation wizard to install the Epic Games launcher.

Step 2: Sign In to Epic Games Account

• First time launch: sign in to your Epic Games account.
• If you don't have an account, sign up at the bottom of the interface.
• Sign In page: Enter full email address and password, then click "Log In Now."

Step 3: Navigate to Unreal Engine Tab

• After logging in, you are directed to the Unreal Engine tab in the Epic Games launcher.
• Access important topics and featured content from this tab.

Step 4: Install the Engine

• Two methods:
  1. Use the "Install Engine" button on the top right.
  2. Go to the Library tab (tracks engine installations, projects, and personal content).

Library Tab Installation

• Go up to Engine Versions and click the yellow plus button to install a new version.
• A card will appear for the installation.
• Choose the desired version from the dropdown menu.
• Click "Install".

License Agreement

• Read the End User License Agreement for Unreal Engine.
• Agree to the terms by clicking "I have read and agree with the End User License Agreement".
• Click "Accept".

Step 5: Installation Options

• Launcher asks for the installation location.
• Use the Options button to install additional content:
  • Starter Content
  • Templates and Feature Packs
  • Engine Source
• Option to create a desktop shortcut.
• Click "Install".

Monitoring Installation

• Card displays critical information:
  • Current step
  • Total installed amount
  • Total amount to be installed
  • Hover to see remaining time
• Pause installation with the "Pause Installation" button.
• Cancel installation with the "Cancel Installation" button.
• Add additional installations or remove an installation using the respective buttons.

Finalizing Installation

• Once installation completes, click the "Launch" button on the card.
