[Music] hey what's up this is Ace and welcome to part two of my mugan character creation tutorial for this tutorial what you will need is fighter Factory classic the Sprites that you extracted from your spreadsheet from the previous video and also you will need mugan 1.0 and without any further Ado let's get started making your character the first thing you want to do is check to see if all your sprits are in place and then you want to go into fighter Factory classic once that opens up you want to go to file open templates and elect bite player and then once you press that you want to enter in these values on the definitions file so where it says character name write your character name and copy it and then paste it where it says character name in the game after that put the date of the creation which is for me it's different from you depending on when you're making your character then when says author name just type in your name or your Alias or whatever you want to do I'm typing in Ace DBZ mugan and for the standard pallet order what I usually do is put 1 2 3 4 5 separated by commas and now with the sff file name you want to name this your character name period sff And it follows the same pattern for the next file names for the sound file the air file and so on and so forth so just paste in your name put period s FF and after that for the sound you want to paste in your name put period snd for the air file put your character name period air the CMD file put your character name period CMD just like I have it on the screen one thing to note that for the CNS file name constants and the CSS CNS file name States those will be the same so just put your character name period CNS for both of them and where it says CNS file name common and it has common one perod CNS you want to keep that there just leave that the same and where it says act or act pallets one by line you want to replace that player with your character name so it looks like your character name period [Music] act once all that is done you want to click this save all button which is on the top right there and you want to go to the desktop create a new folder and you want to name it after your character just paste that in there then you want to open up your folder and paste your character name into the file name and click save and you want to make sure the shared pallet is checked and click okay now keep on repeating that process pasting in your character name and clicking save for the next boxes that are popping up just keep pasting in that name and clicking save do this for all of those boxes and once all of that is done done you have the elite template right here all right so right here is the CNS file so you click on that to see all of your CNS file you click on that button to see your animations and this one for your Sprites so for your animations right here you have all your required animations in here and for your CNS this might look really complicated at first but don't worry in my series of videos I'll show you how all of that works next in the command file this is pretty much how all of your moves or at least most of them are triggered this is a very important and next go to your sound file what I want you to do is click the new button which is that blank page looking thing then click save as and you want to make sure that you are inside of your character file and paste in your character name where it says file name and just click save once you do that go back to your Sprite file and you'll notice the group 9,000 Z image that's your small portrait and the 90001 image is your big portrait for your character just ignore those right now and you see all these blank Sprites right here what I want you to do is delete all of them and how I go about doing this is I click that red X and hold down enter and I just keep on clicking that red X until all of those are deleted so one thing to knowe is that some people use these files as uh they just change these with Sprites uh the hurting Sprites or whatever for when the character gets damag and they put them in specific positions the only character I've ever done that with is the Luffy character that I'm making right now I don't usually do that anyways after you do that you want to click the pallet button click on the pink folder go to desktop and click on the folder where you have your Sprites you want to make sure that the files up type is Windows bit map and you want to find the Sprite that best resembles all the colors in your of your uh character so this one seems as though it has most of the colors that my character has I'm going to select it and click [Music] open once you do that you want to click that blue box which is optimize you'll notice the boxes on pallet 2 are the pallet of the image you selected and the boxes on palet one are the pallet that's the pallet of your new palette that you're going to make for this character and uh the tools that are circled under the green outline those are your selection tools and under the gold outline those are your charact those are your color transfer tools and what I'm doing here I am zooming in I click the ey drop tool and I clicked on the background and then I click on the white square on the bottom right corner of pallet one I just transfer the colors to the left to make that pallet have the purple background and once I do that I SL selects all the other colors on the right by holding control and clicking on each individual color and transferring it to the left and in order to transfer the colors you want to make sure that the boxes are the same number of boxes are chosen on both sides and you want to keep it pretty neat like how I'm doing it right now to select more than one color at once you want to hold down control and just select whatever boxes you need I'm looking at this palette right now and I noticed that I will need another image so I selected another image so that I could get the most color out of this palette so that I could have all these Sprites looking pretty much the [Music] same and I think I pretty much have it right here so what I'm going to do is click the save button and uh you want to go find your character folder open it and paste your character name in the file name and click save once you do that you want to press the add button uh go to where your Sprites are click the very first image hold shift and click the last image to select all of them after you select all your Sprites check that box right there click on apply the pallet to the images make sure you are in your Sprite folder and doesn't matter what you type in under the file name because of the Box you checked earlier and just click save once you're done with that go to your definition file scroll down to where it says act pallets paste your character name put period AC C go to save all then go to file open recent and your character name. Def and right there you'll notice how the pallette on the right looks really weird you want to go back to the where it says act pallets paste in your character name period act save it all again close all files then go to file and open up Venom again and once you do that then you have the nice looking palettes on the right if I'm going a little bit too fast I am sorry just slow down the video you know just don't be afraid to pause the video to catch your bearings and uh just go further along now what I want you to do is press the PCX button in the Sprite file and that will bring you to this box go to your character sprite box and you want to make sure that the file types in this box is uh in PCX and we are going to be importing our first group of Sprites the group of Sprites I'm importing right now are the stand and crouching Sprites so when I'm doing is I'm holding down control and selecting each individual spread I want in this group where it says group I will put a number one you want to make sure that there aren't any duplicate groups already in your Sprite file and you want to click Center bottom This Is How They will be aligned and then you want to click autocrop this gets rid of the negative space and this is how you see how it looks pretty clean now now what you need to do is set the position what I did is zoom in usually I use the arrow keys to go down a couple times before positioning all of my characters because uh it makes it look like the character is actually standing on the ground and not in the air and this button right here activate transparency gets rid of the background color you could also go to show guidelines and set up the guidelines so it's easier for you to position your other Sprites so without any further Ado you want to just position the rest of your Sprites right here like I'm doing you could click on the image drag it to the spot in which you want it to be at or you could also just use the arrow keys to maneuver that around anyways this concludes the second part of my mugan character creation tutorials hopefully you enjoy this video and you found it helpful this is how you begin starting your character next time I'll show you how to turn your Sprites into the animations you'll be using as you play your character or whatever and I'll also show you a thing or two about Collision boxes like I said before I hope you enjoyed this video if you did then please leave a like comment and subscribe and if you have any questions about what I'm doing if I'm going a little bit too fast just let me know in the comments and I'll be sure for the next video I'll make it a little bit slower even easier to understand and I'll just try my best to produce the best tutorial that I could possibly make and that's the way the cookie crumbles this is Ace please have an amazing day peace
