Steps for Viewing Transcript

Accessing YouTube

1. Go to youtube.com on your computer or mobile device
2. On mobile: Request the desktop version of the website in your browser

Finding the Video

3. Find the video you want to get the transcript of
4. Example: Presenter navigates to their own channel

Opening the Transcript

5. Pause the video
6. Scroll below the video player on the right-hand side
7. Tap on the three dots
8. Select "Show transcript"
   • Transcript of the video will open
   • Scroll through the entire transcript
   • Timestamps allow navigation to specific parts of the video
9. To remove timestamps:
   • Tap three dots in the top right of the transcript box
   • Press "Toggle timestamps"

Searching and Copying the Transcript

10. Use Ctrl + F (Windows) or Command + F (Mac) to search for specific keywords

    • Click on any highlight to navigate to that part of the video
