DeNoble Zelo of Championship chiropractic in Las Vegas Nevada a police compression and a police distraction tests are tested for the need and these are ones created test the patient is laying problem we want to passively flex the knee to 90 degrees when we are performing the distraction aspect you want to place a light pressure on the back of the patients sides to anchor their thigh to the table you're going to grasp the distal ankle with both hands pull upwards internally rotate the tibia then externally rotate continue when we are performing athletes compression test we want to put pressure on a plantar aspect of the foot and we're going to press down internally rotate the tibia then externally rotate the two when we are performing the distraction aspect if there is pain in the medial aspect of the joint or the lateral aspect of the joint that may indicate a rupture or an injury to the medial collateral ligament or the lateral collateral ligament if there is pain when we are doing the compression aspect when we are internally rotating or externally rotating that can indicate an injury to either the medial meniscus or the lateral meniscus
