Enhancing Success on Etsy with Everb

you might be finding it a little difficult to stand out in the crowded Marketplace that is Etsy especially with the absolute surge of new sellers who have joined the platform since 2020 did you know that in 2020 alone Etsy added an additional 2.16 million Sellers and by 2022 there were over 7.5 million sellers on the Etsy platform these numbers can honestly be a little debilitating especially for new sellers who might think it's impossible to compete but what if I told you there was a smarter way to grow your Etsy business no matter what level of seller you are we're going to spend the next several minutes breaking down each feature within the everb platform that will help you accelerate and grow your success on Etsy so if you're ready to take your Etsy business to new heights stick around because in this video I'm going to show you exactly how everb can revolutionize the way you sell online are you ready let's Dive In [Music] hey there Etsy sellers welcome back to our Channel today we're diving deep into the world of Etsy sales how you can supercharge that success with everb everb is the ultimate tool for Etsy sellers packed with features designed to help you grow your business make smarter decisions and ultimately increase those sales so let's take a closer look today at some of it key features first up we have product research everby helps you find high demand products to sell on Etsy so you can tap into what's trending and what's being demanded by customers on the platform all you have to do is type in a phrase or a keyword into the Etsy search bar and you'll automatically be presented with things that I like to call worker bees that will tell you whether that product design style or Niche are currently in demand and if people on the Etsy platform are looking for them so today I'm actually going to show you three different different niches and exactly how to use this product research tool so the first one we're going to do today when I'm posting this video it is the end of February so I'm going to go ahead and proactively think a few months ahead and do Mother's Day so when you type Mother's Day into the search bar you'll see the top four trending key phrases that are already trending very well on Etsy and thanks to everb we're able to see exactly how well those are trending by their volume of search so as you can see here Mother's Day gift already has 11,725 monthly searches Mother's Day alone has 15,000 Mother's Day shirt is currently at 2,800 and even Mother's Day card is 1,600 now at any time if you'd like to look into any of these individually all you have to do is simply click the see more button when you do that it's actually going to go ahead and take you to the keyword research tool right inside of everb which we are going to Deep dive into a little a little further into this video another Niche that I've recently seen do really well on Etsy is the gardening space so we're going to go ahead and type that in as well so we know gardening could be doing well but I didn't know that gardening tools or gardening gift could be a key phrase that I could put into my keywords and I'm also seeing things like gardening shirt that I would have personally never thought someone would want to buy necessarily but it makes sense someone who loves gardening or someone who knows someone who loves gardening and wants to gift something to them a gardening shirt makes sense last but not least I'm going to go ahead and do the pet Niche specifically dogs so when we type in dogs we're seeing that that is obviously a very very good Niche it has over almost 10,500 searches right now in the month of February but I'm also seeing three things that I would have never thought I thought when I typed in dogs maybe dogs collar was going to come up maybe dog bandana was going to come up maybe even dog mom sweatshirt I see those things all over because that's how my explore page is currently curated because I love dogs if you're interested this is my dog Lily ain't she cute but what I'm really surprised to see is dog clothing SVG and ping are actually the top searches on Etsy right now so now that we've done some digging in three different niches we have proven that not only are dogs gardening and Mother's Day doing well on Etsy but we've also come up with an additional nine key words that we could possibly use and potentially nine different products or types of products that we would want to add in any of these three spaces okay we know that these things are doing well as the keyword itself but how can I see exactly what products that I should sell in that what types of design should I sell in that that's where ever's Revenue Analytics tool is going to come in handy let let's go ahead and stay in the dog space I'm going to click dogs for this particular search when you're logged into Etsy you should go ahead and see product analytics pop up let's go ahead and click on that everb actually allows you to see how all the different listings on Etsy are performing so you can identify those opportunities to maximize your reach and revenue by analyzing this sales data and Trends you'll be able to create bestselling products that resonate with your target audience and can potentially reach a much larger your audience that you didn't even know existed here's exactly how to use the product analytics dashboard to your advantage you're going to see a couple of columns come up right now we're seeing photo product name shop name price monthly sales monthly Revenue Etc and only a few people know this little hack but to make your life easier on everb we actually have the ability to customize exactly how you see these columns so at any time go ahead and click customize and then you can actually to tole on or off all of these so you can expand the amount of metrics that you are seeing or you can condense it to see exactly what you want in that moment so you can go through each of these and delete which ones that you don't need by simply toggling on or off each of them also if there is a certain column that means a lot to you click on the little menu item and drag it over to where you want it I also want to go ahead and pull the shop age over as well so I'm going to go ahead and toggle up by monthly Revenue in this case so now we have three columns that make a lot more sense for actually validating whether these products are going to work for us in the here and now immediately I'm seeing one that I am very very attracted to for multiple reasons and I'm going to tell you exactly why so this right here is a custom dog mom sweatshirt and we talked about this in last week's video but it actually has writing of the dogs names on the sleeves so you and I talked last week about how all over print designs especially on the elbow and on the sleeves are trending super high on Etsy and this is just proof again so here's the really fun part this particular listing has only been alive for 4 months and it's making $7,500 worth of Revenue so those numbers are already beautiful I am very happy to see those and this is why I use everb to validate these products but what's an even better number the sh top has only been alive for less than a year so that's just telling me that this seller knows exactly what they're doing they've already made over 1,800 sales across the different listings that they have in their shop and this is exactly how I want you guys to use everb going forward let's go ahead and do one more together in the gardening space the good news is all of my filters are still there I don't have to change anything I don't have to move any categories over all of the customized columns that we already built are still there and I'm seeing another one that I really like uh so this one is a custom hummingbird sign of course these are really beautiful numbers to see that it has a average conversion rate of 4.36 it has an average visibility score of 100% And it's making this it's making this seller $21,500 on a monthly basis and it's only been alive for8 months so let's just do some quick math together I can't doing these searches still to this day surprises me even though I see these numbers every single day on everb it is still baffling this person is making with one listing by the way we haven't looked at any of their other listings with this one listing this person has made $172,000 within the past 8 months and like I said earlier what's really really exciting is we know for a fact that not only is this product in demand because of the listing itself but this shop has also only been alive for 9 months and they have done 2600 sales the fact that they're able to do 2600 in 8 months means they are doing something right and that's where we can use everb to determine how they are doing these things right through the product research itself being able to click through this scroll down and see those keywords that they're using that is helping push this in the algorithm that is where this tool is going to come in super handy for you guys because to be honest I might have skipped over this if I were just doing a standard Etsy search if I didn't pull my columns over filter by monthly revenue and then actively look for the shop age and the total shop sales this would have never been on my radar and that's why I Absol absolutely love this feature itself another thing that you can do that not a lot of people use it's a really awesome feature that more people need to be playing with it's the tag analyzer so up here at the right hand corner no matter what search you're currently doing all you have to do is click the tag analyzer on everb and what this little feature is going to do is actually grab all of the tags from that particular search that all of the listings had categorized under in this tag analyzer section you can play with it as much as you want as I mentioned earlier we can customize these columns delete add whatever you want you can also put some filters in like we have in the past on the product analytics dashboard and you can also filter by simply clicking up and down on these little arrows in this case I do want to filter by keyword score because that's basically going to compare the volume of search for the key term and the number of people that are competing for that space times 1,000 that's what's going to give us that keyword score I found one already that I really like in the gardening space we have window feeder coming in at a 310 keyword score because it's currently being searched around 300 times on a monthly basis and only a thousand people are competing for that space I also really like this one seed Geeks something I would have literally never thought to use but in the gardening space it makes sense there are over 330 people actively typing in seedgeeks into the Etsy search bar on a monthly basis and there's only 1,200 people competing for that space and I can almost guarantee those 1,200 people had ever be so guys I want to take a brief pause and I would love to know we've gone through a couple of different things on everb a couple of different niches and a couple of different types of sellers I would love to know what are you selling in your shop go ahead and comment below I want to make sure that these videos that that we are creating are actually related to the stuff that our community is currently selling so that we can provide as much value as possible through these videos so go ahead stop what you're doing pause this video go to the comments tell me exactly what Niche you're in what types of products you like to sell and we'll make sure that we curate our content in the future around those last thing I want to show you on the product analytics dashboard that again not a lot of people know and to be honest I didn't even know about it until like a month ago is the Google analytics search tab all you have to do is come over here to this little line chart that's what we're going to call it a line chart icon and it will automatically take you to a Google Trends keyword search for you so everb is literally doing the work for you they are actively allowing you to search Google Trends without having to open a new tab without having to actively do the search yourself it is simply embedded right there there in the product analytics dashboard and like I said not a lot of people know about this but it's going to give you even more information on whether or not this keyphrase this Niche a particular product is in demand I'm sure you guys know this but when people are buying on Etsy they don't necessarily have to be on Etsy to search for the item itself what do I mean by this let's say I wanted a dog mom shirt and I go to Google I type in dog mom shirt now what's going to happen are a couple things so you're going to see some sponsored things pop up at the top you're going to see Amazon you're going to see images but then what do you see Etsy so people are actively being able to see Etsy by only doing two to three Scrolls on Google if you scroll up a little bit again the sponsored section also has the last one right here is Etsy so that means that someone is paying Etsy ads to be shown here on Google what I wanted to show you guys was the reason why the Google Trends little line chart icon is super important for you guys if you're not using it I highly recommend is because people are doing what I just did and I just Pro to you that people could technically be searching on Google instead of searching on Etsy but Etsy items are still being presented to them so by utilizing this tool the Google Trends tool that is again attach attached to the product analytics dashboard you're not only able to validate whether these products are good bad in demand not in demand but you can also see related topics and related keywords that people might have also been looking up in Google this is an absolute game Cher not a lot of people know about it not a lot of people are using it on everb and I highly recommend you jump on this ASAP something else I wanted to show you real fast if you are scrolling and you don't want want to forget something you can easily come over here and click on this little star next to the listing itself and then that's going to add it to your favorites you'll see up here add it to favorites you might be like hey Leslie where do I find that super simple come over here literally click favorites and it'll be right there for you so this will allow you to have a bunch of different things lined up instead of having to go back and try to find the one that you wanted you can actually create folders in here so let's say I wanted to put gardening as a folder I could click create once you select the listing you can click add to folder and now you have the gardening add listing to folder and then let's do another one let's go ahead and do Mother's Day and let's go back to our original search and I'll show you exactly how to add that in so I like this one the shop age is 3 months old and the listing age of this is 3 months old and oh my God guys they are making almost $50,000 a mon month which means $150,000 is what they've gotten from this one item and this shop has been alive for three months so I'm going to favorite that one to say the least that is definitely something that I want to look further into but time is money we've got other things to do we've got more research to do so I'm going to go ahead and just click my little star button and I'm going to come over to my favorites and I'm simply going to select this one add to folder pop it in Mother's Day and now you can see these have been equally added to their individual folders so I am organized I can come back at any time and do a deeper dive on each of these individual listings hey guys I really hope you are loving this video if you are I highly recommend that you like and subscribe and also hit that Bell icon so you can be notified when we go live we usually go live every single Thursday and when we post new videos just like this every single Tuesday with that said we've still got a lot to talk about so I will not keep you any longer let's get back into it so another thing I wanted to show you guys today was actually the keyword research tool we lightly hit on this at the beginning of the video we also went over how to utilize the tag analyzer when you're doing a listing search but let's go ahead and play with the keyword research tool as well we can see that the search volume for Mother's Day gift is $ 11,7 125 but my keyword score is a crisp zero because there's 2.7 million people competing for the space of Mother's Day gift so what I'm going to do is come down here again I want to filter that keyword score highest to lowest so I can see if there's anything else that I would want to put into my listings in the tags in the title or in the description that is going to give me a little more bang for my book than simply Mother's Day Day gift one that I'm seeing that literally has a keyword score of over 120,000 is birth flower necklace mother so there are 845 people actively looking up birth flower necklace mother and there are only seven other listings currently competing for this space from my experience from my extensive research I know and you guys should too birth flower does so well on whether it's on tote bags tumblers t-shirts in this case jewelry this is an absolute gold mine in the Etsy space especially when it comes to Mother's Day anniversaries Christmas times where you want to gift personalized jewelry to someone you love another thing I want to show you guys today within the evb platform that can help you get sales and make more money is the Etsy calculator I don't know how many of you guys are using this or how many many of you guys even know that this exists as a feature within the everb platform but as a print on demand and handmade seller myself this tool is absolutely imperative because I never want to be the person who only charges like 30% profit margins on my print on demand items and then I'm basically in the red once all of the fees get taken out I pay for shipping I add any discounts this one tool is super imperative no matter what type of seller you are so let's go ahead and do a handmade option I am in the handmade home decor and my items usually go for anywhere from $8 to$ 200 so in this case I'm just going to say $100 so you're going to put the sales price in at the top for this particular item that I'm thinking of at $100 it's probably going to cost us around $17 of course this will vary depending on where you're sending it but as you start shipping these things out or if you've done this for a while and the handmade space you pretty much know what your average shipping is for each of the individual items that you're selling I have a 10% flash sale that I want to host so I need to make sure that that is included in My overall cost because I am paying for it like they are not paying me that 10% which means I am not receiving that 10% so for the cost of item in the handmade space that one gets a little tricky so I'll leave this number in your capable hands but in this case let's just say for the item that I'm thinking of let's say $4.50 so the shipping cost for the order this is what you are going to pay I'm actually going to switch these numbers a little bit I'm going to pay 17 I'm actually going to put a little bit of a profit margin on the 17 and charge $20 for shipping okay so the shipping price is what the person pays the buyer themselves the 17 is what I pay so you can see there is a $3 profit margin already built in not doing any advertising right now so I don't need to do that but if you were you could easily drop this down and say which one of those whether it be Etsy ads or off-site ads but in this case I'm going to go ahead and click calculate now I'll be able to see with the shipping price and the discount overall I am getting $110 for this order however I am paying $10.9 cents in Etsy fees we got a payment processing fee a listing fee and a transaction Fe when it says cost of goods sold in the e-commerce space this is known as cogs that simply means what you paid to actually create the item so in this case cost of item $4.50 and then what I paid for shipping so total cogs plus shipping was $21.50 so what's basically happening is$ 110 - 1090 - 2150 brings me to to a net profit of $776 I am forking out $32.40 on this item on shipping as well as the Etsy fees and the cost of the item itself but I am also getting reimbursed $110 so I hope all of that makes sense but this would be an awesome profit margin to say the least now let's move on to a print on demand item so let's say you're doing a sweatshirt and you're currently selling it for $40 the shipping price is $4.80 you don't want to do a discount in your shop there's no need to you don't want to do a flash sale you just want to keep the number as is that's totally fine the cost of the item however is very important because that's what your print on demand provider is going to charge you so in this particular case I know my sweatshirts cost around $12 to be created by my print on demand supplier and I also know that my cost is also $4.80 for shipping as you can see here I did put a profit margin on the shipping you totally can if you want maybe we can bump this up to $6 and then you can have like a buck 20 in there to play with completely up to you but this is what it would look like as a print on demand item and you can see exact same thing over here we don't have a discount but we do have a shipping price of six so the will end up paying us $46 we are going to pay $482 in fees we are also going to pay $16.80 in the cost of goods plus the shipping itself which basically means I am paying my print on demand supplier for the item and for them to ship it at $16.80 which brings us to a net profit of $24.38 a 53% profit margin which is a really really good deal just imagine if you made 100 of these wet shirt sales per month 100 time 2438 that is 2438 so you would literally get $2,438 in profit on a monthly basis with this model $4,600 in Revenue with this exact same model so guys I hope you
