Placement Exam Preparation Strategies

hello everyone and i welcome all of you to online study for you a complete placement solution friends this is pratik sirvastava here and all the question in our today's video we are going to solve under 30 seconds with the help of shortcut methods and all this question has been asked in the placement examination like accenture tcas vipro tech mahindra so i request all of you to watch the video till the end and if you are preparing for accenture dxc technology tcas vipro then this video is going to help a lot now let us start with question number one two main and three omen can complete a piece of work in 15 days okay then six main and nine omen will be able to complete the work in how many days now if we try to analyze this is nothing but three times this is also three times so days and divide by the multiplication factor so it will become five days and you can take the answer here five days will become the correct answer now question number two six main and eight omen can complete a work in 10 days then 15 main and 20 omen will be able to complete the work in how many days now so if we try to analyze six two job 12 and half of six is three so 15 that means it is getting multiplied by 2.5 at both the places now total number of days and divided by 2.5 2.5 you can also write as 5 by 2 so 2 will go up 5 twos are 2 into 2 is 4 4 days will become the correct answer now question number 3 the edges of a and b are in the ratio of 3 is to 5 9 years ago a and b was in the ratio of 12 is to 23 what is the present age of a so before i solve friends i wanted to tell you so if a and b is is 3 is to 5 right Then so you can assume a is equals to 3x and b will be equal to 5x. That means whatever a age will be, it will be a factor of 3. So it depends upon the value of x. If x is 5, a will become 15, right? So if x is 7, a will become 21. But whatever it is, it will be factor of 3 and b will be factor of 5. Now what they are asking, what is the present age of a? Now, so present age of a will be definitely a factor of 3, a multiplication of 3. so option c and option d is eliminated because it is not a factor of three now we have two option 27 and 33 right both the options are divisible or a factor of three now nine years before so let us go nine years before so nine years before it will become 18 and this will become 24. so nine years before a age was like in the factor of 12. so which one is in factor of 12 definitely this particular one 12 into 224 that means option b will become the correct answer even you do not have to use pen and paper to solve this question okay now question number four the respective ratio of the present age of mother and daughter is 7 is to 1 4 years ago the respective ratio was 19 is to 1. what will be the mother age from 4 years now now they're asking what will be the mother age 4 years now right 4 options has been given 40 to 38 64 and 36 right so what we will do we will subtract 4 from here right because we have the present ratio right present age ratio we have so we subtracted right so we subtracted 4 from everything right so this is 46 so this will become 42 and this is nothing but 32 right okay now so we subtracted right 4 that means we got the present age now so mother present age is in the factor of 7 so obviously this particular option 42 that means option c will become the correct answer right friends i'm telling you you do not have to even use pen and paper for this now what is the remainder when so this problem is literally right so you will feel it very very tough right if you have not solved it earlier or if you don't know the tricks now so you have to divide by 100 and then you have to tell the remainder now so friends 100 is here just try to find if you can get 100 from the numerator so see 1 5 we can get from here right and 1 5 we can get from here and this 96 you can write 4 into 24 That means you have C, you have 5, you have 5, you have 4. 5 into 5, 25, 25 into 4 will be 100 and denominator we have 100. So definitely it will give you 0 as a remainder, right?

Now friends, if you want to learn the shortcut methods or if you want to crack any placement examination, then we have started 2 weeks aptitude and reasoning workshop and here you will be getting the certificate also, right? and the price is very much nominal just 199 rupees the link to enroll is in description friends you will be able to understand how to attempt the question what are the shortcut methods you can use in the examination to solve the aptitude question and timing is 7 p.m to 8 p.m daily right it's a two week starting from 2nd of august right so starting from 2nd of august do enroll recording will be available on daily basis these two weeks will definitely change a lot of you know i mean a lot of changes will happen in you so you will completely change the way you solve maths and if you hate maths then after this workshop you will start loving maths and reasoning that is my promise right so you can also see the review of the classes right okay so anyway now let us question number six so what is the remainder if two to the power 192 is divisible by six see this might be like this also 192 45678 right four so this might be also this question friend no need to worry about that two cube by six and you take two four by six so two cube will be eight eight by six remainder will be two you and 2 to the power 4 16 16 by 6 so remainder will be 4 that means if 2 to the power even and if you are dividing by 6 you will be getting remainder as 4 and here you see this is even number this is also even number in both the cases remainder will be 4 option d will be the correct answer right so but definitely you have to solve few questions based on that now a sum of money double itself in three years so suppose you are investing right so suppose you are investing 100 it is becoming right double that means it is becoming 200 right okay now it will amount to 16 times okay it will amount to 16 times itself at the same rate of interest in how many years okay so now so basically if you're investing 100 rupees so how in how much time it will become 1600 rupees right so this is with the data i have taught you now let us understand so suppose you invested p rupees and it is becoming double means it is becoming 2p in how many years in three years right now they're asking so how much time it will take to become 16 times right that means you are investing p and in how much time it will become 16 p so 16 p is nothing but 2 to the power 4 p right and now here you see 2 to the power 1 and here you see 2 to the power 4 how many times 4 times right how many times 4 times so multiply with this years right so 4 into 3 12 12 years will be the correct answer that's all right so you could have solved it very easily and even in mind itself i will show you how friends right see double double means what double means 2 to the power 1 and 16 times means 2 to the power 4 right and the year is nothing but 3 so 4 into 3 it will become 12 years that's all your you are done with the answer okay now next friends question number 8 a sum of money triple itself in 4 years that means you are investing 3 and it is becoming 3p right it will be amount to 81 times itself at the same rate of interest in how many years so now if you invest p in how many years it will become 81 p right so 81 is nothing but 3 to the power 4 right and here 3 to the power 1 so it is nothing but multiplication of 4 right so here we have 4 and 4 into 4 that is nothing but 16. so 16 years will become the correct answer for question number 8 right so it is very very simple friends so if you know the tricks you will be able to solve easily otherwise you will start using amount is equals to principal into 1 plus r by 100 to the power n friends you give these problems to your friend and then you see how much time they take to solve this kind of problems right okay now friend question number nine and also in my classes i will not teach you any formula right so in many uh youtube channels or in many classes you will see that they will tell you the shortcut formulas if you are using formula it is not shortcut because it you know when problems will vary your solution will also vary and you will be getting the wrong answer now a dealer sells item at 20 profit and uses a weight which is 10 less than the actual okay now print the very first thing is so if you keep this concept in your mind the problem will become very very simple so if your option is given in terms of percentage then you can assume any value so suppose right so suppose you in you you know purchased 100 gram for 100 rupees right you purchased 100 gram for 100 rupees so your cost price is nothing but 100 rupees right and a dealer is getting a profit of 20 percent 20 percent is what that means the dealer is selling for 120 rupees right so cost price i assumed right 100 gram 100 rupees right and selling price 20 percent profit means 120 rupees 120 rupees right okay now so It has been told in the question that dealer is using 10% less weight. Okay. So instead of 100 gram, right, the dealer is giving only 90 gram, right?

So for 90 gram, what will be the price? 90 rupees. It's very simple for 100 gram, 100 rupees. So 90 gram, 90 rupees, right?

So basically 90 gram he purchased in 90 rupees and selling in 120 rupees. So we will calculate the profit. Okay.

So we'll calculate the profit percentage. So profit percentage will be what? 30 rupees profit. and divided by cost price 90 and multiplied by 100 so it is nothing but 100 by 3 that means 33.33 percentage right it is very very simple friends so these are the concept if you understand you do not have to memorize anything you do not have to memorize any shortcut techniques now question number 10 so ramesh has a grocery shop he sells item at cost price but he uses as a weight of 920 grams for 1 kg okay now So let us try to understand.

So friends, suppose for 100 gram, 100 gram, the price is, sorry, 1000 gram, the price is 1000 rupees. Sir, what is your problem? You know, what is your problem? You are assuming anything.

Now in the other question, what we will do? So my dear friends, if your options are given in terms of percentage, please keep that in mind. You are free to assume any value.

Okay. So any value you can assume. So here 100 gram, sorry, 1000 gram, 1000 rupees, right?

But what he is doing? So he sells item at a cost price, but he uses a weight of only 920 gram, right? So he is using only 920 gram. So for 920 gram, what will be the price?

It will be nothing but 920 rupees, right? Okay. So basically he is, he is right using a false weight of 920 gram. So his cost price is nothing but 920 gram. So he will be basically paying for 920 gram, but he is selling at what?

He is selling at the cost price. That is nothing but. thousand rupees so you have to find out his profit percentage so what is the profit here 80 rupees so 80 divided by and cost price 920 in 200 right so always remember that cost price right so your percentage profit your percentage profit your percentage of gain will be always calculated on cost price right and you see now 92 is a factor of 23 92 is a factor of 23 so in option if anywhere 23 is given that will become your that will become your correct answer right so percentage of profit will be equal to what percentage of profit will be equal to what profit divided by cost price into 100 because if you don't know cost price you will never be able to calculate the profit so that is the reason here cost price will come okay now this is solved friends before moving to question number 11 one more time i wanted to tell you friends so aptitude and reasoning two weeks workshop has been you know going to be started from 2nd of august 7 to 8 pm lot of shortcut methods i will be telling you the classes recording will be there anyone if you do not have zero knowledge of aptitude and reasoning you will be able to understand each and every problems in this session and 200 plus aptitude and reasoning question from the previous year i will be doing it so don't worry about that the link is in description enroll fast because definitely the price will be increased after few registration okay so see you all in the class now question number 11 you friends see all the question you cannot use the tricks right so question number 11 and question number 12 is a good question so let us see what we can do here so jay talal took a loan of 10 000 rupees at 20 percent per annum compound interest at the end of each year he is paying 5000 rupees back how much should he pay at the end of third year to clear all his due see many of the students will calculate compound interest for three years and they will mark option a as the answer which is completely wrong right see jetha lal has taken 10 000 rupees as a loan right and and right so what will be the interest rate 20 percent right so that at the end of one year right so he will have to pay how much interest 2 000 rupees right we will calculate 20 percent so 20 percent of 10 000 will be nothing but here my dear friends 2 000 rupees right so every at the end of one year so the interest rate is 2 000 rupees right that means at the end of year So it will become 12,000 rupees. But what he is doing, he is paying 5,000 rupees out of it. That means now at the end of one year, he has still 7,000 rupees as a loan.

Now, friends, again in the second year, what will happen? He has 7,000 rupees, right? And again, 20% interest.

So 20% interest, 20% of 7,000 will be 1,400 rupees, right? That means at the end of second year, this is my first year. At the end of the second year.

so seven thousand rupees he has loan and again he got fourteen hundred rupees interest that means total eight thousand four hundred rupees and again what is doing every year he is returning 5000 rupees so third year in the third year he has how much 3400 rupees okay and again 20 interest will be put on that so 20 will be nothing but 1010 cancelled and uh this okay so 3400 into 20 by 100 so you see it will become two four eight six hundred and eighty rupees right okay so at the end of third year so 3400 rupees he had from here and 680 rupees interest so it will become four 4080 that means 4080 rupees he has to pay at the end of the third year right so friends you have to understand that even if it is compound interest right so you have to calculate an amount in deep i will discuss in the class right now i will not go into very much deep okay but this is how you will be able to solve now question number 12 is again a very good question and little difficult so arun and bharat so it's not like i'm going to solve only easy question in the classes right So I will solve all level of the question, difficult level, easy level, right? So everything. So Arun and Bharat can make 720 toilets in 20 days, right?

So 720 by 20 will become what? So it will become 36, right? So basically Arun and Bharat in one day will be able to make 36 toilets, right?

And then Bharat and Rahul, Bharat and Rahul can make 720 toilets in 24 days. So 720 by 24, that means it is nothing but 38. And Rahul and Arun? right in 15 days so 720 by 15 so it will be 48 right okay now friends this is basically a time and work question so efficiency the meaning of efficiency the meaning of efficiency means your one day work like arun and bharat can make 36 toilet in one day so that is efficiency so basically what we got here we calculated the efficiency of all three okay now what we will do we will add everything so 2a plus 2b plus 2r and if we add everything it will become 114 so a plus b plus r will be nothing but 114 by 2 114 by 2 which is 57 okay now so we have got the efficiency of arun bharat and rahul now they're asking so if arun works for four days okay so what basically is required we will know the efficiency of arun that means in one day arun can make how many toilets will multiply by four right and then they're asking bharat so bharat can make how many toilets in one day multiplied by 8 and then rahul and rahul can make how many toilets in one day and then we will multiply by 8 and that's how we will be able to get the total number of toilets made by them right so now the question is we have to find out efficiency of arun uh bharat and rahul so see a plus b plus r is what a plus b plus r is 57 now so if you subtract the first one where a plus b is what a plus b is nothing but 36 so what we will get we will get r r is equals to so 7 minus 6 21 okay now if we subtract the second one so 57 minus 30 so 27 so if we will subtract that this 2 then we will get arun efficiency and then again if we subtract 57 minus 48 then we will be getting bharati efficiency so this is 9 okay now arun is 27 bharat is 20 bharat is 9 and rahul is 21 okay now so 108 and this will become 72 and this will become 168 so 18 and 4 and 3 348 so option a so friends even though the problems are tough we can make it simple right so if you have the right approach if you have your basic clear right so that's the thing what we are going to do in the two weeks of classes we will make the problem very easy for you right so even the difficult problems if you bring we will try to make it very very simple and most of the examination like accenture uh this ground through this kind of exam question we will be like solving it you know seconds okay so friends this two weeks of aptitude and reasoning workshop i recommend all of you to join see the price is not when one t cost is 20 rupees right so that is not even one t cost right and you are getting a knowledge of the complete aptitude like 200 plus aptitude and reasoning question you are going to solve in this workshop and starting from 2nd of August please mark the date time is 7 to 8 pm now see you all in the class the link to enroll is given in description thank you take care bye bye and don't forget to subscribe to our channel
