hi so this video is going to be about setting up a godaddy domain with Google workspace and creating DNS records for godaddy domain you will need to log into your GoDaddy and to your admin console uh Google admin console so you can do it in both apps here then when you're taken to the home uh you can access your domains from this box here if this is not visible then you can go to account uh domains and manage domains here are the list of all the domains that you have connected before uh verified means that they have been verified by Google and Gmail has activate was activated which means that the MX records have been added to your domain so this is what we are going to do with the new domain as well so go to your GoDaddy log in here and go to um all your domains if you have a list find your domain here I just have this one just pause it so click on manage DNS this is where all your DNS records are listed so here we we will be adding some new records now you want to copy the domain to Google click on ADD domain paste the Google the domain name here select the secondary domain type and click add domain and start verification so Google is asking you to log into your GoDaddy it will open up a new window uh click on connect and now it's verifying your domain so it will take a few minutes I'm just gonna pause the video and come back so now that Google has verified your domain it's taking you back to the domains page from here we can go ahead and activate Gmail and create MX records in the godaddy domain DNS so you want to click on setup MX record and then next again it's taking a few minutes to activate it and the Gmail has been activated now let's see the DNS records so we have SPF records and the MX records have been created by Google now we need to add the day Kim and the mark records um let's go to apps then Gmail and then here we are going to set up the Kim records so you need to select your domain first and then here you are going to generate the string of data that you will add to a domain manually so let's generate the new record so this you can choose any of those I'm going to choose the 204 8 length Google is all right for the prefix and generate so this is the domain key that you need to copy let's do it so we are going to create a new txt record click on ADD and the type will be txt the name will be Google domain key and this is the value we will just copy and paste it and that's all click add record now your record has been created uh it may take some time for the data to update let's try and start authentication anyway yeah so we will need to wait a bit for the records to update so uh Didi Kim authentication has been updated we can continue and create the D mark so before before setting up the Mark we want to make sure that all the records have been created um and here as you can see there are two SPF records we shouldn't have two or more SPF records because then our domain will fail validation and might be marked as spam so we are going to delete one of these let's edit this one so we will copy the logo one save it like that this is the correct SPF so we chose that all the emails sent from Google domain will be validated and now we can delete the other one yeah so let's create the D mark click on ADD the type will be txt the name will be the mark so I'm copying from our help article and the value you can also use this one so the TTL needs to be set to one hour um that's all just click on ADD record before that you want to change the email address here it needs to match your email address you need to input your email address here so you can receive the reports from the mark validations and click add record so that's it the D mark has been set as well and we have finished adding the DNS records to the godaddy domain right you can go back to Google workspace and create the users for this domain and then you can connect them to instantly and start warming up
