Understanding Your Transcript
Accessing Transcript
- Log into "My Portal"
- Navigate to "Banner Web"
- Select "Records and Registration"
- Click "Unofficial Transcript"
Information on Transcript
- Top Section:
- Name
- Program Information (Degree, Major, Department)
- Graduation details populate upon completion
- Transfer Credits Section:
- Shows credits transferred from other institutions
- Grades for transfer credits start with 'T'
- Transfer credits don't affect GPA, only increase credit total
Course Grades
- Courses listed by semester
- Grades appear post-semester
- Current semester grades populate after completion
GPA Calculation
- GPA Point System shown on transcript
- Calculation Example:
- Multiply grade point by course credit hours
- Add total quality points
- Divide by total credit hours attempted
Incompletes and Course Repeats
- Incomplete (I):
- Issued if work is incomplete by end of semester
- Updated upon completion of requirements
- Repeat Courses:
- Recent grade included in GPA, previous grade excluded
- "I" means include, "E" means exclude
- Retaking courses provides opportunity to improve GPA
Official Transcript Requests
- Requested online via National Student Clearing House
- Electronic transcripts are faster
- Costs:
- $10 per transcript
- Additional processing fees for mail or electronic
- Financial holds prevent transcript release
Summer School Options
Summer School at Morehouse
- Dates: June 2 - July 11
- Classes are 100% online
- GPA can be improved through Morehouse summer courses
- Registration:
- Open during priority registration week
- Payment deadline: May 21
- Maximum of 9 credit hours
- Tuition: $611 per credit, plus fees
Summer School Off Campus
- Only credits (not grades) transferred
- Requires approval to ensure transferability
- Cannot use to retake courses for grade improvement
Approval Process
- Use advising resources in Blackboard
- Complete off-campus approval form
- Secure department chair signatures

- Two more advising sessions: March & April
- March session focuses on scheduling advising appointments
- Newsletters available through multiple channels
- Complete "Check Your Understanding" assessment to confirm attendance
