Stress Management Techniques

  1. Physical Exercise
    • Releasing endorphins, natural painkillers that help reduce stress.

  2. Yoga
    • Reduces levels of cortisol, the stress hormone.
    • Enhances mood and emotional regulation.
  3. Meditation
    • Improves focus and self-awareness.
    • Reduces symptoms of anxiety and depression.
  4. Vacation with Friends and Family
    • Relieves stress by providing a break from daily routine.
    • Time spent in enjoyable activities helps in stress reduction.

Positive vs. Negative Stress

  • Positive Stress (Eustress): Motivates and helps achieve goals, e.g., preparing for an exam.
  • Negative Stress (Distress): Causes health issues and reduces performance, e.g., academic pressure leading to depression.
