Speaker Comparison: Vestlyd V12C vs Cerwin-Vega Models

General Observations

Cerwin-Vega 39P:
- Brighter treble/midrange.
- Vestlyd seems darker in comparison.
- At moderate levels, Vestlyd sounds better as Cerwin-Vega 39P's treble/midrange can become screechy.
- The bass on Cerwin-Vega 39P is not great for SPL:
  - Uses a 1½ inch voice coil and a small magnet, leading to instability.
Vestlyd V12C:
- Outperforms Cerwin-Vega 39P in both sound quality and SPL.
- More balanced Audio.

Cerwin-Vega 212:
- Bass is similar to Vestlyd V12C.
- Brighter treble due to higher sensitivity.
- Treble can be harsh at higher volumes.
Vestlyd V12C:
- Sound appears darker compared to Cerwin-Vega models.
- Performs better at higher volumes with less harsh treble.
- Considerably balanced sound profile.
Cerwin-Vega S1:
- Has treble and midrange controls at the back (set to middle position for tests).
- Brighter sound compared to Vestlyd V12C.

Initial skepticism due to being a Cerwin-Vega fan.
Surprised by performance after 30 days of testing.
Comparable to Cerwin-Vega in high average volume.
