[Music] good day everyone i'm selisa and today i will share my teaching philosophy to you we all know that in life to see is to believe but will this belief be applicable in teaching well of course not as teachers we should have faith to our students who are struggling due to personal reasons yet strive harder to be better and those who show hopelessness yet once properly motivated changes their perception about learning and this is the reason why i realized that to believe is to see because teaching requires faith we must believe before we see what is beneath our students and what they had to offer and as teachers we are given a mind to think eyes to see lips to speak tears to listen hard to feel and hence to reach out to our students guiding them grow emotionally and mentally and be compassionate citizens of our society but how can we help them to discover their potentials we have to accept that students have different intelligences we could be guided by using howard gardner's theory of multiple intelligences which he proposed in 1983 he believed that there are learners who are visual special linguistical verbal interpersonal intrapersonal logical mathematical musical bodily necessity and naturalistic it's just that we have to create equal opportunities for them and also it would be helpful to keep in mind how our students learn that's where social development theory comes in it was proposed by leslie godski in 1934 he believed that social interaction plays a fundamental role in learning so we should know that students may learn better from each other right so to sum it up we should always remember that first we have to get to know our students second every learner has their own ways to learn third create opportunities to expose their full potentials fourth learners may learn from each other rather than just listening to us fifth create a student-driven learning environment and lastly be patient and compassionate because learning takes time differently in every student and that's all may you learn something today see you soon everyone thank you for watching
