Kentucky Summit of Assessment

  • Purpose: Meet federal and state testing requirements
  • Grades Tested: 3-8, 10, 11
  • Subjects: Reading, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Editing & Mechanics, On-Demand Writing
  • Participation Exceptions: Alternate assessments, medical non-participation

Scheduling

  • Scheduling Tool: KSA Items and Times Chart
  • Testing Window: Last 14 days of instruction
  • Order: Quality of School Climate and Safety Survey (QSCS) first, followed by content areas
  • Makeup Sessions: Flexible scheduling within testing window
  • Extended Time: Available for students with IEPs, 504s, or PSPs

Pearson Access Next (PAN)

  • Student Data: Ensure Infinite Campus is updated
  • Resources: PAN user guides and training modules
  • Test Sessions: Creation begins March 24

Student Testing

  • Order: Must follow testing sequence
  • Logout Procedures: Important to follow correct sign-out steps
  • Student Honor Code: Acceptance required pre-test
