Overview
This lecture explains how to convert image files (JPEG/PNG) to PDF format using two simple methods, useful for uploading e-posters or digital assignments.
Identifying Image File Types
- JPEG and PNG are common image file types, often the default export options in free tools like Piktochart.
- You can check an image's type by hovering your mouse over the file or right-clicking and selecting "Properties" to see the file extension.
Method 1: Online Converter
- Use an online converter by searching for "convert JPG to PDF."
- Select a trusted site and upload your image file (JPEG or PNG).
- Wait for the upload to finish, then download the converted PDF file.
- The downloaded PDF can be opened with standard PDF readers like Adobe Acrobat.
Method 2: Using the Print Function
- Right-click the image file and select "Print."
- In the print dialog, change the printer to "Adobe PDF" or a similar PDF printer.
- Choose your print settings (such as orientation), confirm, and save the PDF to your chosen location.
