clients are so hard to get please help me is what i see in all the comments and emails i've been getting lately so check out this video to find out how to get clients hey welcome to the millionaire recruiter i'm brianna rooney your millionaire recruiter if you haven't yet seen this channel before yep it's all about making you the next millionaire recruiter so this week as every thursday at noon i'll be coming to you with a new video is about clients i do do a lot of videos like i feel about clients because they're very important why because they pay our bills even though candidates are fuel all of that they're just as important in my mind clients do again pay your bills so how do you get clients i i hire that question all the time via email on linkedin all of that stuff um even at techies we have recruiters that are trying to move to full desk and do a great job and constantly add clients and value as well and they're struggling the number one thing i think i have found and why people are struggling is because there's not enough volume i want you to really think about this we do a lot of candidate work i would imagine you are spending most of your time sourcing to fill all the roles that your clients have whether that you're just working with yourself whether you're working on a team or whether or not you're just a straight-up sourcer that's a lot of time with candidates so i know here at techies in order to be successful we put a couple of measurements in place and so just for example we'll say send out 200 messages so that's 200 people you're reaching out to what's normal is about a 10 to 15 response rate so think about how many people that is oh every week that's getting back to you it's actually not that much so are you reaching out to 200 clients a week is your response rate higher so think about those numbers are polar opposites yet really should be treated the same and in theory a client should have more volume especially at first if you don't have any clients you need to be very very heavy client outreach because think about this they're getting probably just as much emails and messages linkedin whatever you want to call it from tons of different recruiters especially right now and um candidates same thing so why would you treat candidates differently than you treat clients why do you think that response rate is going to be any better than candidates i think that's a crazy thing to think about um now with that said you only really need about five super solid clients whereas candidates you probably need gosh like 50 to 100 because you have to think that a lot of people aren't passing interviews they're getting other offers it's bad timing there's a whole a whole bunch of stuff that go into into candidates and how many you actually need to make deals and to get interested and there's just so many moving parts with clients it's still difficult and time consuming but it's a different type of relationship and they normally stay around a lot longer and hopefully can become a very fruitful relationship for you and then also note that even when you're not working with the client let's say they're not actively hiring they're either on a freeze or are there products coming out so they're busy or there's like so many different things that happens with clients and as they pause hiring that you still have to have little touches and still keep track of their news because remember even though you think that you're doing a great job with the client and maybe you are and you're thinking the moment they hire they're going to reach out to me that's not always the case so make sure you are constantly constantly keeping your clients um keeping in touch uh be either linkedin or liking their page or you know whatever it is that's a whole other subject but how you get clients again is heavy heavy outreach and to not get frustrated uh recruiting in general can be a very frustrating job because remember there's the highs and the lows but in my opinion the high is way way outweigh the lows so keep stretching forward also with clients here's something that i find that's interesting is again they're getting a ton of messages tons of emails they are not reading your message i want to say about 80 of the time at least so you don't have to come up with a new message every single time you know there's a lot of statistics that say that it takes about five to six touches emails email message on linkedin whatever it is in order for them to even pay attention to you they're going to keep seeing your name be like okay who is who is brianna marie are you serious she keeps pestering me and then maybe she'll that person will will read that message so again they're probably not reading it you haven't sent out enough touches again let's let's talk about that they need at least five to six follow-ups have a really good follow-up system and that could be another video as well as to what i do in order to keep track of all of the clients i'm trying to reach out to because again if you're going to be reaching out to 100 200 clients a week which is hefty you need a system not only to find clients but to organize clients and to keep the follow-ups on track and to not mess up and reach out to a client that you've already reached out to and get all sloppy with that because that's not good either clients are extremely important but the great news is that once you get them you can have them for a while and they can be great for you and they can give you all of the referrals in the universe so let's recap how in the world do you get clients volume you can keep sending the same message i would probably have two to three messages or you can do it a couple different ways also follow-up follow-up follow-up i think those are the top three ways to get clients to pay attention to you and let's not forget if you follow the millionaire recruiter at all have you if you've done the course if you've re had me watch these videos you know that your linkedin is extremely powerful and your profile has to be on point it has to look good it has to be a client goes to your linkedin or accepts your connection or like is looking at your invite connection they need to know who you are what you stand for and most importantly what can you do for them so don't forget all of those four things watch this video again and go get clients trust me i know that you're frustrated i see tons of questions about this and again that's who pays our bills so it's very important to grasp i don't think there's a secret sauce with messages although i definitely recommend the smaller straight to the point as possible the people that you are sending these messages to are extremely busy they like no i think everybody does um there doesn't need to be a fluff they need to know what you can do for them and what makes you different so i'm super excited for you guys to go get some clients finish
