How to Grow Your Instagram Audience in 2024

over the years I've gained millions of followers on Instagram today I'm going to give you a clear and concise plan to blow up your audience in 2024 and no I'm not going to tell you to use a specific length of real or jump on some trending audio or hide keywords in your reals those things can help but what I'm going to share with you today are tried and tested principles that have served me for years and will continue to work you can then add in the Trends on top for a little bit of a boost when you need it but we're going to focus on the fundamentals now just so you know that I know my stuff this here is one of the pages that I've built which recently passed 900,000 followers I also helped this guy grow to half a million followers in just over a year and then more recently in fact up to this day we've actually also helped an ex-professional boxer go from growing 100 followers per month on his account to consistently growing 5 to 6,000 new followers every single month which if you do the maths is about a 50 times increase in his rate of growth so let's get into it now the first key to Growing is going to be binge worthy content now this is one of the biggest shifts I'm noticing in the algorithm from the end of 2023 and going into 2024 but the importance of creating content where people can binge multiple videos over and over and over for example I made a video about this girl Natalia recently who went from 10,000 followers to half a million followers in 3 months by creating a series Instagram hack you didn't know existed and then she was posting this over and over as this massive series that people could then binge on for another guy who did this is Stanley who's actually also here in Oakland who gained close to 100,000 followers in a week by posting a daily Series where for every follower they gained he would pay his social media assistant 1 cent for a slightly different spin on this approach we've seen other accounts blow up their following by using a consistent theme to their cont content where it all had a similar opening and then different bits of value now what happens here when you create like binge worthy content in some sort of series is when one of your videos takes off and gets a ton of views Instagram then begin recommending your older videos which leads to them getting picked up in the algorithm too then you've eventually got all of these different pieces of content bringing in new people nurturing them and turning them into followers because if you've got a series talking about something and someone finds one of your videos and loves it and watch it the whole way through Instagram are naturally going to recommend them your other similar content which if they enjoyed the first one they'll likely enjoy the second and the third and the fourth and the fifth and so it leads to a lot of these accounts just blowing up because as soon as one video takes off all of the other ones do too now the key that I've noticed with this is you have to stick to a consistent style because if all of your videos are different one of them might blow up but then the next one gets recommended and it just doesn't quite hit the same so it doesn't perform well and it doesn't really take off and the other thing that you want to have is your own brand identity so when it does take off the rest that are similar perform well because people recognize that it is you for example this post here of Shane's took off and did really well so when we posted a similar video Instagram knew who would like it and showed it to the people who enjoyed the first similar version and therefore it also performed well and got a few 100,000 views because of this the second video then started getting pushed out to new people and now actually has more views than the first one and probably started driving people back to the second one and so they help each other get more views and so if we posted a third or fourth or a fifth similar video they would likely all be blowing up each of them reaching new people and funneling people back to the other ones and that's where everything starts bouncing around and doing really well for your account now the second thing to blow up is use the same hashtags on every post now this might be controversial but I'm finding using the same hashtags and every post to be working very well partially because hashtags are actually less important than they used to be and so by using the same ones all the time it saves you time of having to think about what hashtags to use and you can give more of that time to actually creating something interesting or planning out some great stuff the other thing is when these videos do start performing well all of the older ones get picked up because they have the same hashtags and they start getting pushed and assuming they're also engaging pieces of content they perform well the only cev art to this is just make sure that all of the hashtags you use fit your content are well optimized and just have sort of a group of three to 10 hashtags that you use in each post aside from that stop worrying too much about hashtags and make better content now the third one is you want to use three different hooks in your video now by now everyone realizes that they need a strong hook but what people often miss is the hook is more than just the idea or what you say in the video you need to say something that hooks people in but you also need to have a visual at the start which hooks people in and if you want to go a step further also have editing that draws people in now please note that this does not mean you have to be overly Fancy with what you're publishing yes you can have crazy high level fancy stuff that can work but it doesn't have to be that way this could be the visual hook of standing on a mountain because all of a sudden it grabs people's attention and is different or if you're speaking about the gym maybe you're really big and in great shape and so you use that as part of the hook CU it gives instant credibility and then on top of that you will have the text on the screen of whatever you are saying so if you were creating a video doing challenges in the mountains and one of your challenges was climbing up a mountain and jandals and seeing what crazy stuff you could do you could use the visual hook of being at the top you can use the text of we climb this mountain and jandal and then you might have the editing hook of Simply putting that text on the screen for people who are not listening to to the content to actually see what's happening if you can sort of peer those three things together it works really really well if I was to relate this to my is of talking about Instagram growth I could have a screenshot of me logged into one of my Instagram accounts that has a large following have that on the screen and then say in this video I'm going to teach you how to grow on Instagram because you got the visual hook of the social proof you got the spoken hook of me saying what I'm going to do then you've also got the text on the screen for people who are not listening now side note if you haven't already joined one be social on social media now this is an obvious one but a lot of people Overlook it go out and spend 10 minutes each day engaging with other creators post from the community hashtags Etc this can be as simple as favoriting 10 15 20 20 pages in your Niche to have the audience you want and then each day instead of scrolling through your main feed you scroll on your favorite feed and comment on every post and just spend 10 minutes doing that this could be whilst you're watching Netflix or looking at something on YouTube or just wasting time because chances are you spend more than that amount of time on Instagram on social media anyway so if you flip from just consuming content to then adding your two cents after you've watched the piece of content that little Hab bit can help you gain an extra 5 10 20 highly engaged followers each day which then helps your content perform better reach more people and really blow things up now the fifth thing you're going to have to do is turn your profile into a landing page now look you can drive as many impressions as you want with your content but if only 1% of the people who land on your profile actually follow you you'll struggle because if your goal is to get to 10,000 followers at a 1% % conversion rate you're going to need to reach a million people to then click on your profile which is a lot of people that is a big task to ask for so instead you want to turn your profile into a highly optimized landing page which converts visitors into followers and fans so when you do all of the effort into getting awareness it actually turns into followers before we get into anything fancy you need to get the basics sorted first have a clean tidy profile picture a username that is ideally your brand name or your name or your Niche and then your name section should be stacked with keywords for SEO just throw in a few about your Niche if you can't get your exact name or your brand name or the niche you want just try and minimize the amount of random words you add to it so it as close to your name as possible after that stuff your bio is what is going to make the most amount of difference this should really speak directly to your dream followers making it obvious that your content will help them for example on my page I have exposing the secrets we use to gain millions of followers for our clients so instantly when someone lands on my page they see I have credibility I know what I'm talking about and that I work with clients so if they're interested that gives them a way to sort of reach out it becomes very obvious that I give away advice know what I'm talking about and can help them this is why currently my page converts at about 25% of profile visit to followers now different niches different sized accounts convert better or worse I would say you want to aim for anywhere between 15 and 30% is a good Benchmark obviously the better you can get it the better it becomes but at the end of the day regardless of who you are or what you do not everyone's going to be interested in your Niche or interested in your content or interested in your brand and so you're never going to be able to get it crazy high and that's a good thing you don't want people who are outside of your Niche following your stuff the only other thing thing here to think about is having a feed filled with great content but we've already covered that so we'll move on now the sixth part of this is encourage people to be social on your page now we already talked about outbound engagement and commenting on other people's content but you also want to encourage people to comment on yours too so post stories with polls asking people what they think have captions that encourage people to comment on your posts create debate in the comments that is you know healthy obviously between people who have different ideas or different ways of coming up with a solution all of this social interaction helps drive up the reach of your posts and grow your audience now the seventh and final part of this strategy to blow up your brand on Instagram on social media in 2024 is building your email list and this might sound counter intuitive but you have to do this if you want to do well going forward and you want to do it for the safety of your brand as well in case anything happens now the way you do this is first create a freebie that your audience want figure out what they would want and give it to them for free tell them if they comment a word they will be sent access to it use mini chat to automatically DM these people with a link to opt into your email list in return for the free product this will help you increase your engagement but build your email list at the same time and you will then own that email list you see you're in stagram could get deleted or shadowbanned or your style of content could fall off or the platform could become irrelevant but you own your email list and can directly contact that audience which means regardless of what happens assuming you keep giving out good insights to your Niche to your audience your email list will continue to help you grow your business what I'll do is I'll link below some
