Transforming Your Year for Success

Hello everyone and welcome back to my channel. This is my first video of 2023. Today is January 1st 2023 so happy new year! I'm so excited for this video.

It's all about how you're going to be making 2023 your best year yet and it includes a bunch of vlog footage throughout on everything I've done in the week running up to 2023 on how I prepped for 2023 to make it my best year. I was actually supposed to vlog today, this morning. I've had the best first day of the year.

I hit the gym as soon as I woke up early this morning. I came back. I had my protein. I had a matcha. I had a super healthy breakfast.

I've been working all day long. I haven't procrastinated. I met my content goals for the day. I took my supplements, which I always normally forget to do.

Today has been super productive, but unfortunately, I forgot to vlog any of it. However, I do believe that now I'm finally in my routine and I can have perfect days like this because I did a bunch of prep prior to create the perfect environment to allow myself to have days like this. And I vlogged a bunch of... the stuff i did so stay tuned step number one you are going to clean and reinvent your environment this is one of my favorite things to do because i think it actually signals to your brain that we are changing things now we are going about things in a different way it's also a really fun thing to do it's a nice kind of starter goal before you do all of the serious planning give your bedroom a makeover basically rejig your environment and your daily routine so it encourages you to be more productive and on top of your stuff let's go I just want to kind of reinvent this space because even though my room is clean it still feels very cluttered to me I'm just not feeling the vibe. I got these two fake plants.

So I'm gonna spray paint it gold I got my masking tape and I even got primer because look at me. I want to do a proper job I went to Primark literally picked up four Hey, this is officially all done. I can't wait to take all the newspaper off and see the final product I kind of want to replace those two shelves with the plants to add some greenery into the room I kind of want to fix up my bedding a bit.

There are way too many cushions on there Right now i'm going to reorganize all of these drawers It's so organized! My favorite. This is my makeup drawer. I literally threw out a bunch of old makeup edit news.

Guys, that is just my earrings organized. Step number two is to have a digital cleanse. I think this is so important in a society where everybody says social media is draining and it damages your mental health, which 100% it does and you can't take away from that. However, you can control some of it through who you follow through what you choose to consume to the way that you actually use social media every single day.

You can make the decision to use social media as a break to see memes and waste a little bit of time throughout the day or you can use it as a tool to better yourself to level up to any educate yourself to use it as a platform to gain inspiration for other things that are going on in your life which is exactly what i've been doing for a while so i go through my followings on all platforms i'm not afraid to hit the unfollow mute or block button to anybody i click the not interested button on tiktok or throughout my feed to kind of tailor my for you page to what i want to see which is educational content which is motivational videos next step in getting my life together for 2023 is to sort out my spotify this is a huge thing like the way that music just runs my life on a daily basis is insane Thank you. My last task of the day right now is to sort out my calendar for 2023. So these are some of my calendars right here. So my goal right now is to plan at least the first week of January fully.

I've actually just set a repeating calendar event every single morning starting from January 1st, 2023. That is my first week of January all done. This is what every single day is going to look like. Each of these events are repeated throughout every single Sunday of 2023. Step number three, implement daily systems. If you'd like to know about this in detail, then I highly recommend that you read the book called Atomic Habits. It's honestly insane about habit forming and just being more productive.

...overall by just doing small things every day that lead up to really big results. It's linked on my Amazon, which is linked in the description. For me, one of my systems is kind of built like a morning routine, so...

As soon as I wake up, I have a sequence of habits that I have to do in that exact same sequence. And because it's repeated in that exact same way every single day, it becomes a habit. For example, when I wake up, first thing I do, I go to the bathroom. I do my skincare. I brush my teeth.

I shower. I go downstairs. I drink water. I take my supplements.

I drink a green tea or a matcha and I eat my breakfast. And I also go to the gym. Now that's one little morning system that I've done consistently every single day.

And now it's an easy routine. And that means by like 9, 10 a.m. every morning, I've already been productive and done all of these things that are always on my to-do list. And... and part of my new year's goals.

Some of you will already know from my organization video on my YouTube channel that I use the app habit every single day. I'm just reorganizing some things, adding some new things in, taking some old things out just so it's completely ready for 2023, figuring out the order in which I want these things. Manifest, drink water, all of that stuff. The next step to making 2023 your best year is to get so serious about your goals. You need to get super specific in order for this to work.

Make a vision board. If you're not sure how to, you can check it out on my TikTok. I have a full one. manifestation playlist on there and a full tutorial on how to do so. Vision boards can be made either digitally or like physically by putting out a bunch of pictures and putting it on a board.

In the year of 2022 I made a goals mind map. I'll put it on the screen now just so you guys can get an idea and I kind of split my goals up into different categories. Next up and this is my favorite tip on how you are going to meet your dream self, become your dream self and it's kind of a form of manifestation and scripting. You're going to open your notes up once again. You know what, me and the notes up, we are besties okay and you're going to write out as you your heading the new me underneath you can put it in body points you can write a whole story you can do it as a paragraph and you are going to script what the ideal the best the perfect version of you looks like you're gonna write what do they wear what do they do what they spend in their weekdays what they do for their job?

What do they read? What content do they consume? Who do they hang around with? Who are they in a relationship with? What is their relationship with their family like?

How do they spend their weekends? What do they do before they go to sleep? What do they do when they wake up first thing in the morning?

What does their body look like? What does their wardrobe look like? Etc.

You go into all this detail, but you're going to write all of this in present tense. For example, I will write, Tamana is always well-dressed. Tamana reads at least two pages of her book every single day.

Tamana hits the gym as soon as she wakes up first thing in the morning. This is an amazing form of manifestation. And not only that, it's kind of another form of goal setting and really sticking it in your mind.

Like this is what I'm working towards. This is who I want to become. Because what I've learned is the only way to meet your goals and to achieve things that you've never achieved before is to have a complete identity shift. The person...

that you have been up until now has gotten you the results and the lifestyle that you have right now the only way to get something different is to have an identity shift and change the things you are doing so it's really important to figure out where you want to get to and then you can clearly see okay these are the things i have to change to make this an actual reality but also because you're writing a present tense you're looking at it in a positive way and you're seeing that this is achievable i can do this never look at your goals from a negative or a lack mindset as if oh but what if i didn't get it what if i fail, I'm gonna feel like a disappointment, I'm gonna feel bad about myself. That's not a possibility, you're gonna do it and you can't think any other way about it. Another thing I did to prep for the year was write out a quick to-do list.

I didn't want any errands, jobs, work, whatever carried over into 2023 from 2022. I don't want any 2022 stuff still lingering in my life now and it's now January 1st 2023 and I can happily say that's not happening. For example, I had some books on my reading list and I told myself if it means I have to sit down and read this book in a day, I have to this today. I'm not bringing this book still into another year with me like I have to finish it today and because I was on like this tight deadline because 2023 was in a few days I had to do it and it kind of pushed me to get a bunch of stuff done that I was procrastinating over throughout 2022. So the first thing I did when I woke up this morning was place a little order so I'm all prepped for 2023. I plan on finishing the book that I'm currently reading today. I think I have about 120 pages left. So I got back from Tesco, I stacked away all my food, I just ate lunch and now I'm about to go to town so I can get these nails off and get a new manicure because these are hella grown out, these are not cute anymore and I'm going to be doing natural nails for 2023, that is the plan.

I've got a nail strengthener because natural nails now, we're going to be taking the nail health very seriously. And a lot of people have been raving about Monday and it's super cute packaging and it's really good, it's not got any like bad ingredients in it. We're taking the hair care seriously.

Considering I've had acrylics consistently for the last six months, my nails are in pretty good shape and I'm loving this. And lastly, we are gonna journal. Even if you went the entire year of 2022 not journaling, I highly recommend get your notes up out, get a little piece of paper out.

Either one, write a letter to your future self. It's January, you got time. Write a letter for you to open.

on New Year's Eve, 2023, December 31st. Of all of the things you hope you've achieved, the person you hope you've become, write some words of affirmation to your future self. This year, I switched it up and instead I did an end of year reflection and I opened up my journal and I just kind of...

wrote out a bunch of questions and then went into the answers in detail for example what was my biggest accomplishment this year what is the lesson from 2022 I'm going to bring in 2023 what is something I want to avoid at all costs in 2023 who were the new people I met in 2022 who were the people I lost in 2022 what were my bad days in 2022 how did I deal with those bad days when did I feel my best in 2022 what was I doing and that way you can really grasp how the last year went for you because I think unless we do an activity like that and we really try to consciously think about it, we actually forget about a lot of things that we did, we felt we went through throughout the year because a year is such a long amount of time. I just finished my bedtime tea, candle is lit, my fresh sheets on, the vibes are immaculate, I've also finished a very messy journal of me reflecting on 2022 and now I might watch a little bit of TV and quickly go to bed all ready for tomorrow. I really hope you guys enjoyed this video if you did make sure you give it a thumbs up and subscribe because i'm releasing videos every single week in 2023 so make sure you don't miss out comment down below and let me know what you thought of this video feel free to dm me on instagram because my dms are always open and i will see you guys in the next video i appreciate you
