Optimizing Facebook Advantage Plus Audiences

in today's video I'm going to be going over Facebook ad Advantage Plus audiences a lot of you are running Advantage Plus but most of you are missing a lot of the key settings that allow Advantage Plus audiences to perform best so I'm going to be breaking down every setting that you need to know so that way you can generate results with Facebook ads so let's go ahead and get into it so here we are inside of our Facebook ad account and yours might look something like this you might be running an interest testing campaign you might have a retargeting and what we're going to do is we're going to set up an Advantage Plus and we'll do this by hitting create and if we're optimizing for purchases we're going to select sales and then there'll be this option that'll automatically select for you and Advantage Plus campaigns can be really good if you already have some add account data so you'll go ahead and select this Advantage Plus and it's going to use some of the data from your past advertising account history and do the targeting for you and so we'll go ahead and just name this Advantage Plus then we'll scroll down here we'll select website and we're going to do maximize number of conversions and choose purchase and then we have our 7-Day click and 1-day view option for our attribution and then we get into our audience location and targeting settings this is where you're going to select the country that you're going to be going after individuals that you want to Target or is this going to be us in this case and then we're going to scroll down and look at our daily budget so we're either going to start at $5 or $10 daily for testing and then we'll start to ramp this up once we see some of the results coming in then as we continue to scroll down here Advantage Plus is going going to suggest some of our ads and really what works best with Advantage Plus is having 7 to 15 of your highest performing ad creatives this has been proven by data time and time and again so you want to make sure to have all of your best performing assets already imported in here so you might have some data that's already showing that says 10 purchases 100 purchases you know maybe three four whatever the numbers are you're going to want to import all of those ads that are getting sells and for this case example we don't have any results just yet so we're just going to populate at least 7 to 15 ads in here so we'll do this by selecting import we can keep importing these by going to our Advantage Plus and just selecting import and there's also an import all button so you can import all those ads and now that our ads are populated and we have over seven ads in our advantage plus we can start to adjust some of the ads so when we're looking at this we want to go ahead and remove the word Dash copy so that way it accurately shows up on our reporting the next thing is you want to make sure you have both your Facebook and Instagram account page selected and then as we get down we can manually upload a video or image and then as we scroll down we want to make sure we have multi- Advertiser ads selected because if we're selling a pet product that means we're going to show up next to other ads where people are selling pet products so it's more relevant to our audience and if we have a better offer we're going to get more competitive results and then we have an option here where it says use the engage view through attribution setting and that essentially means that as long as somebody views the video and potentially goes to Google and makes a purchase we're going to be able to capture that attribution and attribute that result to our Facebook ad so this can help improve our overall results and engagements so we're going to go ahead and turn this setting on so that means we have both 7-Day click 1 day view through and 1 day engaged so as long as they're engaging or viewing then we're going to get the attribution if they go to another platform or find our website directly to make a purchase finally we want to make sure that our media is formatted to be the exact sizing for our specific placements this is a 9 by 16 which is a perfect size so we're going to go ahead and leave it at that since it'll show up in all placements accurately the next thing is we want to make sure to have our primary text here and you can add multiple variations for testing with this video so we can actually use some of the AI recommendations from Facebook now I was just recently at meta conference and one of the things they were talking about with this AI is the AI is learning based off the best cost per purchase and the highest Roi with Advertiser accounts so they're looking at other AD accounts that use similar keywords and they're recommending you the keywords that are performing best in those other advertisers accounts so this is only going to get better and better over time so we're going to start using this now so we can maximize some of our results with this Advantage Plus campaign so I'm going to go ahead and choose some of these so now that we've selected some of the ad variations that we're going to test we can go ahead and scroll down here and we can adjust our headline and the great thing about this is we're testing three text variations in three different headlines which is going to allow us to leverage AI to its full capability with meta and we have the Advantage Plus that will do the automatic targeting for us we don't even have to select our audience it's going to learn over time based off what's already working for us and then we're going to have some of the AI text recommendations also being able to show which variation that's going to get the most conversions possible plus we have automatic placements which gets us the most reach that we can deliver our ads to we're really coming out with a lot of solid formats that will potentially be able to scale up pretty quickly and then we'll just go ahead and add in some additional descriptions and then we can go ahead and scroll down we're going to choose shop now for this objective or order now because we want people to go ahead and make the purchase then we want to turn on info labels this is going to give us more real estate on our actual Facebook ads so that way we can make additional call outs this can definitely help with getting more conversions so we'll go ahead and select some of these and once we've added some additional info labels we can go ahead and either highlight our promo code in our case we're going to have people go to the website submit their email in order to capture that code so I'm going to leave this off if you already have the coupon code available go ahead and make it obvious in your actual ad by turning this on and entering your code manually and then for enhancements we're going to make sure to have these turned on we're going to activate catalog items this ensures that you can actually see the catalog below our video so so now not only can people watch it they can click the call to action they can actually see the products that we're selling and we'll hit save then we'll make sure to have visual touch-ups turned on text improvements relevant comments and video filters this is going to ensure we're going to get the best results possible with our Facebook ad creatives then finally we can scroll down and input the actual website for the product that we're selling and then for our display link we're going to go ahead and simplify it to just say our actual URL rather than having the https and all that in there so that way it looks very clean and organized in our ad video and then finally we can go ahead and and adjust to make sure that we have our pixel selected and I've already gone ahead and inputed the UTM parameters here for the tracking to make sure all of the data shows up accurately in Shopify and on surge so if you want to make sure to know how to do this and our ads we can go back to the campaign level go to our ad set and we can select all and anywhere we didn't remove the dash copy we can go ahead and hit edit and remove that here once you've done that you can go ahead and hit review and publish so that way we can get this campaign live once published the ads will go into a review and now we've already maximized the number of settings imported all of the best performing ad creatives made sure we had the right number of variations and used every opportunity we have to get the best results out of meta and the best part is is that they're going to automatically do the targeting for us and we can go ahead and allow this to start running to see if we start getting some purchases really you only need one Advantage Plus audience campaign you don't need multiple I see it from a lot of people you really just need one because it'll also behave as a retargeting for you in a lot of ways so you can get away with one advantage plus and get the best
