Introduction

First Lecture Content

First Question: Establishment of the Kingdom of Vijayanagara

  • Relevant dynasties:

  • Capital: Hampi, located on the banks of Tungabhadra River.
  • Established in 1336 AD by brothers Harihar & Bukka.
  • Ruled from 1336 AD to 1645 AD by various dynasties.

Ram Krishna Mission

  • Founded by: Narendranath Dutta (Swami Vivekananda).
  • Aimed to promote selfless action through social service.
  • Key dates:
    • Birth: January 12, 1863
    • Death: July 19, 1902
  • Books: "Karmayoga", "Rajyoga", and "Prabuddha Bharat".

Basic Cell Structure

  • Definition: Cell is the fundamental unit of life.
  • First discovered by: Robert Hooke in 1664 (cork).

Five-Year Plans in India
