Fun Alternatives to Mindless Scrolling

Do you ever come home and decide to watch a few videos on your phone like three or four Just to realize later on that you spend the entire day scrolling on your phone for hours and hours Then this video is perfect for you I'm going to show you fun and easy things you can do instead of just mindlessly scrolling on your phone Because let's be honest. It's just a waste of time. So here are 30 things you can do when you're bored upcycle your clothes I think everyone has clothes laying in their closet that they never wear, but there are actually a lot of ways you can upcycle them. So if you have, for example, an old pair of jeans, you can bleach a cool design on them. You can also make a top of tights by adding a few cuts.

Or draw on your hoodie or top with a fabric marker to add a more unique look. Create a playlist. I love listening to music, so I create different playlists to certain moods I have or when I'm at different occasions. If you don't know how to find good songs to add to your list, you can find inspiration in other people's playlists by just typing in a song that you like and looking through their playlist.

Because most of the time there are songs with the same vibe in them. Give your room a makeover. There are simple things you can do to give your room a makeover. First, it's important to know in which direction you want to go.

Do you want for example a coquette, bohemian, futuristic or a grunge look? I recommend making a Pinterest board of all. all your favorite posters and decorations.

Then print out the posters and put them on your wall. Next you can look around your house to find cool decorations or frames. I found these old curtains and hung them above my bed to create a canopy.

You can also order a few things from Emsen, like leaves or cute mirrors. And just like that you gave a room a whole new look. Try a recipe!

Here I'm trying to make a pizza in a heart shape by forming the dough into a heart. It's very simple but turned out super cute. There are so many delicious things you can make to rely less on processed food and save money by avoiding extra money spent on meals eaten out. Plan your outfits.

Planning your outfits is actually so useful because whenever you're late and have to go out really quick it's good to throw something on which looks good and also took no time to pick. Usually it takes me ages to choose an outfit, so it's good to have a few planned out just in case. Customize your phone.

You can give your phone a whole new look by customizing the background and adding widgets. There are also a lot of cool apps you can download to customize, for example MD Vinyl, which adds a cool music player. Steve is a widget game or color widget, which has some aesthetic widgets you can use. Draw or paint.

Painting and drawing is super relaxing and it's perfect to get your mind off things. If you don't know what to draw, you can find some inspo on Pinterest. I always look up body references for my drawings or poses. And if you're a beginner, there are also many easy painting tutorials for you to try out. Go online shopping.

So I go online shopping pretty often, even though I really shouldn't, because it can get pretty expensive at times. thankfully there are also many cheap options out there like Vinted or Depop where you can get clothes for a really affordable price. You just have to search for the right pieces. Try a new hairstyle.

I get bored of my hair pretty easily so trying out new hairstyles has always been fun for me. If you're looking for ideas I've made a lot of hairstyle TikToks like the one playing right now. There are also many cute accessories you can add for example ribbons, hair clips in star shape or pearl ones.

and bows so just try it out. Deep clean your room. Every once in a while it's good to really deep clean your room to feel comfortable in your space.

So pick up your clutter, wipe down surfaces and wash your sheets. With a clean room you will instantly feel less stressed and distracted. Crochet. Crocheting is a very easy hobby to learn plus it's very relaxing and the best part of it is that you get super cute items in return.

You can go from crocheting gloves to tops or dresses, bags, hats or even cute animals. So why buying these things when you can just make it yourself at home? Make DIY stickers. You can also make DIY stickers. All you need is a baking sheet and some tape.

Next you're going to print out some small images but you can also draw something yourself. Cut the image you want to turn into a sticker out then take your baking sheet and put some tape on it. Place the image on the tape and add another piece of tape. Then all you need to do is cut along the edges and you're done.

If you want to use it just remove the baking sheet and put it wherever you want. Do your nails. There are many cute nail designs you can try out at home.

Here I made star nails by making stickers out of a baking sheet and tape. Then I cut out a star shape and put them on my nails to create this cute design. I also tried out making jelly nails or adding eyeshadow.

So there are a lot of simple ways you can design your nails at home and save a lot of money. Make a Pinterest board. I love the concept of Pinterest boards because they can encourage you to try out new things and make it easy to find inspiration.

You can also make a vision board by saving all your goals for the year in one board. This allows you to visualize what you want to achieve and it helps you to keep your plans on track. Selling clothes.

Selling clothes online is one of the easiest ways to earn money and to get more space in your wardrobe. It's also very environmental friendly. You just have to take pictures of your old clothes and upload them to apps like Vinted or Depop.

And with the money you've earned, you can buy clothes that fit your current style better. Go for a walk and listen to music. I love taking walks by myself to clear my thoughts and just relax. For me it's almost therapeutic because sometimes daily life can be very stressful so it helps me to de-stress and reflect.

It's also an easy way to get exercise. Walking for just 10 to 30 minutes a day is great for your physical health. Do a photo shoot. You can also do a photo shoot by yourself. If you don't know how to pose or want some inspo, you can look at some pics on Instagram or Pinterest.

I found this really cool shadow light hack where you put a light behind a water bottle and it creates these really pretty shadows. I also posted another idea on TikTok where you put light through a paper roll and I think the results turned out amazing. Play an instrument.

I think playing an instrument is such a cool skill to have so why not learning it now? I recently started to learn the guitar and let's just say my guitar skills are... questionable.

But anyways, I'm getting there. Recreate DIYs on TikTok. The best thing about DIYs is that they are super easy to make and most of the things needed you already have at home.

I've made a lot of DIYs on my TikTok from a 3D flower card to a keychain or a cat phone stand, an album camera or flower stickers. So next time you're looking for a gift idea or a cool item, just look up DIYs and try them out. Delete your photos. Deleting photos is one of the things I hate to do, so I always try to get around it, but it's so annoying to have to scroll ages to find one certain photo. So just deleting them regularly brings many benefits, plus you're getting more storage space.

Bake. There are so many easy and aesthetic recipes you can try out. So here are some pastries I found and the best part is that at the end of it you have something delicious you can share with your family and friends. Make something out of clay.

There are a lot of things you can make out of clay like this cat phone stand I made in one of my TikToks. I also made a moon mirror by adding clay on the side of a round mirror and pushing some holes in it. Other examples are rings or cute dishes, mugs, clay pins, an airpod case or a mushroom candle. The possibilities of creating something are endless. Clean your closet.

My closet becomes messy pretty easily. Like I clean it and the next day it looks horrible again. Anyways, this is your reminder to clean your closet, I guess. Have a movie marathon. Make some popcorn and re-watch all your favorite series or an old movie from your childhood.

There's something just so nostalgic and comforting. about watching your favorite childhood movies. Also, I really recommend checking out Studio Ghibli films if you haven't done so yet. Whenever I'm in a bad mood, their films always cheer me up and they're just so heartwarming.

Go to a coffee shop. Going to a coffee shop by myself is one of my favorite things to do. Just sitting there with a book and a drink is so calming and a great way to romanticize your life.

It's also a good place to study or journal. Go to a library. I think the same thing goes for libraries.

Walking around and checking out other books is very relaxing. Also it's one of the best places to study because there are no distractions and a quiet atmosphere allows you to keep your mind focused on your work. Customize your shoes. You can customize your shoes in many different ways.

For example I embroidered some easy star shapes on my converse or drew something with a leather marker on another pair of shoes. Just look up some design ideas and I promise you, your shoes will look way cooler. Write a letter to your future self. Writing a letter to your future self is a great way to reflect, increase self-awareness and create your future.

Set a date you want to open it and write down what you want to remember, your feelings, the lessons you've learned and most importantly, the things you want to change in the future. This will help you to become a better version of yourself and also remind yourself what's important to you. Read a book. Reading books is one of the easiest ways to reduce screen time. It's basically like watching a movie play out in your own head.

You can also learn a lot from them because it teaches you a greater vocabulary and you gain lots of new knowledge. So that's the end of the video. I hope you found one or two ideas useful and I could inspire you to have an overall more productive day.

Thanks for watching and see you in the next video.
