How to Access Your Savannah and Community Portal

Getting Started

  1. Go to Portal Login: member.theroom.com/login

    • Use the email you applied to ALX with (e.g., Isabel.v.gmail.com).
    • Click 'Sign in'.
  2. Check Your Email for Login Confirmation

    • Look for 'Welcome to the Portal' email.
    • Click 'Access your portal' in the email.
  3. Create a Password

    • Password requirements:
      • At least six characters
      • Must include an uppercase letter, lowercase letter, numeric character, and special character.
    • Click 'Next' after creating the password.
  4. Verify Personal Information

    • Ensure all personal information is correct.
    • Agree to the policy and confirm.
    • You are now in the community portal.

Community Portal Navigation

  1. Watch Welcome Video

    • A two-minute video welcoming you to the ALX Community.
    • Click 'Play' on YouTube.
  2. Accessing the Learning Management System (Savannah)

    • Homepage contains your profile at the top corner.
    • Click 'Go to course' to access Savannah and your learning content.
  3. Support and Community Engagement

    • Access support from the team if needed.
    • Click 'Community tab' to join and view exciting community offerings.
  4. Update Employment Status

    • Update your employment status to reflect your professional journey.
    • Complete the employment tab.
