The wings are tender, flavorful, and fragrant.
It's sweet and savory, a hallmark of Spicy Wings. Hello! Welcome back to my channel,
Devina Hermawan. Today, we're making Spicy Wings you can freeze. I've shared Spicy Wings a la Pizza Hut before.
This is probably a la Fiesta as it can be frozen. It's very easy to make. Keep it in stock and
make it for your husband's or kid's lunchboxes. It's so practical. Here are the ingredients. The chicken wings
are halved into wingettes and drumettes. Find the measurements in the description box.
The wings are about 750 g. That's may be 10 large chicken wings,
or 20 pieces of wingettes and drumettes. Or, that's about 30 pieces of smaller wings. We'll marinate it with lime and fresh garlic.
You can use garlic powder to be practical. We need a little cornstarch to tenderize
the meat and make it crispier, not to batter-fry. We also need chicken powder, pepper, palm sugar
or white sugar, and gochugaru to add color. You can use paprika powder for this purpose.
If you don't have any, skip it. For the sauces, I use oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce,
chili sauce (skip for less heat)... ...and BBQ sauce for aroma and smokiness.
If you don't have any, use ketchup or skip it altogether. First, rinse and pat the wings dry.
Place them on a strainer and let them drain. If they're watery, it'll dilute the marinade's flavor. Now, add lime juice and
finely grated garlic or garlic powder. Add pepper, chicken powder, palm sugar... ...oyster sauce, sweet soy sauce,
chili sauce, and BBQ sauce. Add gochugaru or paprika powder for color.
Add cornstarch and mix well. Use just a bit of cornstarch to tenderize
the chicken and help bind the sauce better. We just need to mix this well. Spicy Wings is very easy to make.
The most crucial step is the marination process. Ideally, you should marinate it overnight in the fridge. If you only marinate it for a short time,
it won't be flavorful. Meanwhile, Spicy Wings are typically very flavorful. So, let it marinate overnight. The next day, the chicken has released its juices
so the marinade will appear thinner. The color looks good, too. You can cook it in an oven like in my previous video. Or, to store them in the freezer, it's best to cook them first. Steam the wings without any liner to let the juices drain. Steam for 15 - 20 minutes, depending on the size.
But first, make sure the wings aren't frozen. If they're frozen, the center will still be cold. If you steam them on a stovetop, use medium-low heat.
It'll slowly cook the chicken, making it more tender. Once steamed, let them cool down.
Then, you can store them in the fridge or freezer. Whenever you want to eat them,
fry or grill them with butter or margarine. Or, you can cook them in the air fryer. Then, they're ready to eat! The wings are tender, flavorful, and fragrant.
It's sweet and savory, a hallmark of Spicy Wings. It's a great dish to eat with rice or french fries,
noodles or pasta, or even lunchboxes. They can be frozen. Just fry them
or bake in an air fryer whenever you need to. Okay, then. Thank you for watching. If you recook this dish, tag me and find other short recipes
