Introduction to Delegate and Elevate Tool
The Delegate and Elevate tool helps individuals and teams break through capacity barriers by focusing on unique abilities and delegating less desirable tasks.
Once an individual reaches personal capacity (which varies per person), it's a trigger to use the tool and assess workload.
How the Tool Works
The tool consists of four quadrants:
Love to do & great at
Like to do & good at
Don’t like but good at
Don’t like & not good at
Participants categorize tasks into these four quadrants to clarify what energizes vs. drains them.
Delegation Strategy
Emphasis on moving tasks in the bottom two quadrants (“don’t like”) off one’s plate by delegating—ideally, one per quarter.
Over time, this may require role or reporting structure changes to accommodate delegation.
The target outcome is spending most time in the “love to do & great at” quadrant, acknowledging these preferences can shift over a career.

Decisions
Commit to delegating one “don’t like” task per quarter — to focus time and energy on tasks aligned with unique abilities and interests.
