adding tags and attributes is a great way to help you quickly identify actions you can actually do with the time energy and context available to you let's look at a few ways to work with them take a look at the first action on your list and ask yourself can this be done in under two minutes if the answer is yes you should go ahead and do it this two-minute roll is one of our favorite GTD tips with that in mind let's start adding some useful information to actions that take more than two minutes to edit an action you have a few options you can click on the actions title to access the most common details such as notes time energy and due date as well as the state and project to which it belongs this method is the same for web and for mobile let's add some attributes to an action by clicking on the item title in this case we have one called right April sales report we'll add a tag called q2 and another called reports you can do this by either typing it into the space for tags or selecting an existing tag from your list if you add something you don't need you can always remove or deselect a tag Nirvana uses global filtering to keep the areas of your life separate since this is for work you'll add it to your work area you can also attach attributes to your actions including time energy and due dates let's imagine this report takes six hours a high level of energy and that it will be due on May 10th if you need to make a change just click that attribute again and adjust you can also add notes such as reminding yourself that this report needs to be shared with the sales team before the forecast meeting save your changes whenever you're done now if you've got a few items that require the same information try multi-select with the web app with this you can easily right click or drag to adjust tags attributes or the state for several items at once if these items are in projects or reference lists they'll automatically inherit any tags that apply at some point you might find that you don't need a tag anymore or that there's a typo in a contact name there's a central screen that will help you with that using the web app press keyboard shortcut G or go to your settings and click manage tags here you can easily make change or remove tags to access similar options in the mobile app tap tags from the left navigation menu followed by manage keep in mind that the free account allows you to areas which you can rename to make use of unlimited areas you can upgrade to Nirvana pro and create as many as you like thanks for watching check out the space below for some useful links and if you found this video helpful give us a like [Music]
