tennel 17 is the new Clash of Clans update and with all of the new defense and Troop levels coming to the game how difficult will toel 17 actually be well first things first we need to break down the newest merge defense The Inferno artillery this is a combination of the town hall and Eagle artillery which you must do in order to unlock Town Hall 17 The Inferno artillery will shoot four projectiles at different targets if they are within range if there is is less than four targets it can shoot multiple projectiles at the same Target while its projectiles Don't Do Splash damage they can leave a spot on the ground that deals dot or damage over time on both air and ground units who enter the field similar to that of the lava launcher in addition it has a longer range than that of the Giga Inferno and can now outrange the flame flinger as The Inferno artillery has 12 tile range so watch out out unlike the Giga Inferno however it will always remain active and will always be a constant threat in addition it doesn't have a giga bomb or poison bomb upon its destruction which will make cloned balloon or Yeti blimps that much stronger to make up for this they're moving the bomb out of the town hall and has become its own trap known as the Giga bomb the Giga bomb is the only trap that is always is visible to the attacker but it is very powerful as it does massive damage in a large area around it while also dealing knockback to both air and ground units unlike other traps though you you will need 18 housing space within its radius to activate the bomb so you cannot cheese it with a single Barbarian but a Yeti that costs 18 housing space would be able to trip the Giga bomb Siege machines can also activate the bomb despite costing one housing space but will not receive any knockback in the process so with the new Inferno artillery and Giga bomb paired with all of the new defense and supercharge levels how does Town Hall 17 Stack Up on difficulty to kick things off we're going to be starting with Dragons as they were not only extremely easy but also very effective at Town Hall 16 so we're going to go ahead and start with our Queen's giant arrow to remove two air defenses if we can and place our Queen here we only get one but that's completely fine we're going to use a baby dragon right here our Electro Dragon right here and our Barbarian King right there the Queen's going to be able to establish one side of her funnel and then after that she can kind of really just die out but for the most part we're going to time our Barbarian King hits the air defense there and now we can move in with our dragons with our balloons Dragon Riders and the warden to follow suit we're going to go ahead and use the battle blimp right there just kind of delaying it a little bit and now we're going to use that battle or the Eternal to Healing toome get ready with the rage and we're going to clone over the town hall completely destroy it and get rid of all the other buildings around it so we can use our Royal Champion over on the side here and this is looking pretty dang destroyed already so many balloons just so many troops and let's use a freeze here to just completely stop that area let's get some Cleanup in with our with our spells here with mostly just freeze and we still have the Royal Champion up and let's go Ahad and use her seeking Shield one shots the air defense and that really only leaves that backend air defense here and we can have we can use a head hunter to deal with the Enemy Royal or enemy Barbarian King and we could just we have swag free spells pretty much this was an easy three star so if there is one strategy you should be using right now it definitely should be dragons they are going to be incredibly strong at Town 6 17 and you can kind of see why without that Giga bomb being within the town hall it makes this strategy insanely fun next up is the queen charge hybrid and this is a very popular strategy but was definitely really suspect at Town Hall 16 but with no more Giga poison could it be be better all right so we're going to be going ahead and queen charging away from the town hall we're going to use let's use a baby dragon right here followed by using a couple sneaky goblins and our Queen hopefully this is going to push our Queen in the right direction let's see let's use one here let's use a balloon baby or our healers and The Apprentice Warden to work in another balloon and if we need any super wall breakers okay she's not going in the right dire cuz we kind of need her to go in oh let's use a rage ooh that Queen barely keep her alive okay she goes in the right direction that's great let's go ahead and use a wall break here that's not the wall break I wanted but that's fine all right um invisibility keep her alive and we're going to be able to continue to push through and she's going to keep going up so that's good oh no she's going to get hit by the bomb but that's fine we can deal with the poison all righty so that is all good cuz what we can do is we can actually push our way in for the town hall so let's use our King here and our Siege Barrack right here let's see let's use a couple more balloons to look for any Seeking Air mines Queen's going to be able to deal with that let's go and use a head hunter Barbarian King ability that should funnel all that so we can use our Miners and our Hog Riders to start moving in and we'll have our Royal Champion let's go and use an early Grand war in ability ility let's use a rage spell here to keep our Queen alive things are looking pretty good let's use a heal through that all of that things are actually this is looking very strong let's see what we can do with our Queen still alive and pushing we have a nice funnel set uh let's see let's see let's use a freeze here probably should have hit the Ricochet Cannon but let's go and use our let's reinforce our hog ERS and let's use another heal this is actually looking insanely good I think we may actually get it done I don't know let's see we still have a lot of Splash damage unfortunately um freeze right here oh we did miss the Ricochet Cannon uh let's see we have a lot of troops left up unfortunately the Royal Champion oh she's going to go down so hybrid might require a little bit more value but you can kind to see how strong the defense is you have a lot of Splash damage so this might make hybrid A Little Bit Stronger which is always really nice but it seems like it's going to be a lot tougher to get the three star at Town Hall 17 with the hybrid even though you can Queen charge now away from the town hall it's not as big of a threat as it used to be but unfortunately this one's not going to get through next up up is Fireball super witches and we want to see how strong is the fireball at Town Hall 17 despite all of the new defensive levels and supercharge levels so here we go we're going to go ahead and use our Fireball right here cuz we want to get all of that juicy value around there so what we're going to do is we're going to start with our Warden he's going to clear this and we're going to let him just walk so we're going to use our invisibility spell here here and here and that should launch it there so we use our two earthquakes which is going to be more than enough it seems like we're going to definitely need multiple earthquake spells now especially on something like the Ricochet Cannon but that's completely fine so we can go ahead probably use a baby dragon here and that Town Hall's still up that's completely fine so we can use the queen right there we'll use the siege Barrack couple Valkyries and we'll go ahead and use that with our super witches we can get them into the base followed by using the Barbarian King let's use another wall break here in order to enter didn't get through but that's fine that's fine let's use a couple Druids here with us o Queen ability was forced but that's fine let's go and use a rage here to kind of push everything in King stuck on a wall That's not great cuz we need the we need everything to kind of move around okay well I mean this works this is working let's use our Royal Champion over here with the Valkyries and with everything kind of moving in can use another rage here to kind of push a little bit deeper into the base King's in a pretty decent spot let's see okay I seems like we're fine right now let's see King's going to go into the core this is exactly what I want let's use our Barbarian King's earthquake boots let's go and use a rage spell over here with our hog puppets things are looking really good I think this is going to be dominant for a three star we got just some cleanup going in and that is all that she wrote we are going to lose our Barbarian King but that's completely fine cuz we have more than enough alive still in order to easily three star so to answer the question is Fireball still good yes it might take two earthquakes but if you weren't already doing that then more often than not you should be doing so we got a little bit lucky with the King redirecting back in but overall for the most part even with the early Queen activation we easily clear this base so this is a very strong Army that really you should still be using we've given you an air spam example Queen charge example and a fireball example but what about ground spam well root Rider spam was still very strong at Town Hall 16 so can it be strong at Town 17 with no Giga bomb in the town hall all right here we go with the root Rider spam we're going to go ahead and start off by breaking open this wall here and getting our Queen in maybe using a couple of the super Barbarians in order to clear out some of these buildings and that way we can set one side of our funnel the other side we're going to use another Super w breaker followed by The Siege Barrack and that should allow us to kind of clear a solid funnel let's see if we can get this Ricochet Cannon without using her ability we might have to use it Midway yep let's use her ability here and that should clear a really solid funnel couple more Super barbarians let's use our root Riders our Valkyries Apprentice Warden Druids the warden and the Barbarian King to start moving in in this looks pretty good let's use a couple super barbarians over on the left and let's push in with a let's push in with a rage spell to kind of move in and deal with everything and let's go ahead and use an early Grand warn ability kind of protects everything King ability as well and I guess we'll use the overgrowth over here to kind of clear these these defenses and kind of leave everything kind of alive we still have a large push kind of still moving around around we have a lot of root Riders we have a lot of Heroes up as well let's use a skeleton spell right here and freeze right here and let's use our Royal Champion with her seeking Shield this is looking pretty good we still have a lot of defenses up but we have a lot of troops still moving around this is not looking too bad at all let's see let's use a couple of these we have another rage and we are going to easily crush this so does root Rider spam still work yes it does it easily will still work it might not get nearly the same value it once did before so you might want to use the overgrowth a little bit better than I did here but for the most part we still three starred even though we did lose our Warden we still have all three Heroes up so it's not as smooth but it definitely is still a three star so in conclusion while Town 17 isn't as difficult as Town H 16 it's definitely not the same difficulty we had at Town 15 so Town 17 is still going to punish you for making mistakes but if you're a decent attacker more often than not you're going to three star now there is more than meets the eye to town hall 17 so be sure to check out the sneak peeks here when they're out but of course YouTube says
