Full Version Access for Macquarie University Students:
Log in to

with your One ID and password.
Select "App Stream Student Applications."
Choose "IBM SPSS Statistics 25" from the menu.
Requires password input again to access SPSS software.

Data View:

Designing a Survey in SPSS
Start in Variable View:
Design the questionnaire before entering data.
Column "Name":
Assign codes to items.
Type:
Choose numeric for number-based responses; choose string for text-based responses.
Decimal:
Set to zero if dealing with whole numbers.
Adding Labels and Values
Labels Column:
Enter item descriptions for clarity (optional but recommended).

Data Entry in SPSS

Enter responses row by row (each represents a respondent).
