Initial Setup

  • Open the evidence document: m217 evidence.rtf.
  • Add a header with:
    • Your name
    • Center number: CY127
    • Candidate number: 1234
  • Save the document as a Word document in the same folder as other files.

Task Instructions

  1. Header and Footer

    • Header: Left-aligned with your name, center number, and candidate number.
    • Footer: Right-aligned with automated file name and path.
    • Ensure headers and footers are within page margins.
  2. Page Layout and Margins

    • Page size: A4, portrait orientation.
    • Margins: Top 3.5 cm, others 2 cm.
  3. Save and Screenshot Evidence

    • Save the newsletter in Word format.
    • Screenshot to show file has been saved correctly.
    • Screenshot settings for WS Body Style.
  4. Styles Creation

    • Create styles such as WS Title, WS Subheading, etc.
    • Key settings include font style, size, alignment, and spacing.
    • For WS Body, use single line spacing and specific paragraph spacing.
  5. Content Formatting

    • Enter title "Wood Store" and apply WS Title style.
    • Add subtitle "Report by" with your name, using WS Subtitle style.
    • Format main content into two columns with 1 cm spacing, apply WS Body style.
  6. Subheadings and Styles

    • Identify 9 subheadings and apply WS Subheading style.
  7. Table Formatting

    • Insert table at specified location.
    • Merge cells in the first row, center, and bold the text.
    • Ensure all borders and gridlines are visible when printed.
    • Apply WS Table style to text in table.

Advanced Formatting

  • Images: Insert and align images with text using wrapping.
  • Lists: Create and customize lists with bullets or numbering.
  • Indentation: Adjust indentation of lists using ruler tabs.

Final Checks

  • Spell check and proofread.
  • Ensure consistent spacing, complete paragraphs, no split tables, and no blank pages.
