good morning everyone I hope this message finds you all doing well as you may know this week we are officially kind of kicking off doing online learning so this is gonna be kind of this is dry run week so we're gonna kind of see how this goes make sure everybody can get on and kind of do what it's expected of them next week is spring break and then the week after that you will officially begin the whole online learning now for you guys that is math two and math three we are going to be using a program called edgenuity and I will show you here in just a moment how all that is going to work but allow you to kind of progress through and I'll set some dates so you can kind of keep an idea when you need to get things done this week being kind of like a dry run sort of thing I'm probably gonna have you just sort of log on maybe do an assignment or two just to make sure that you understand what you are doing and kind of get our feet wet here a little bit and that way if we have questions that you can call me I'm thinking about doing maybe a on Thursday just a little class zoom or Google meet like we did last week for those that were able to attend but that way we can answer any questions that you might have all right so like I said I'm gonna show you here on my screen so you can kind of see what you're doing and just listen and kind of follow along and let me know if you have these all right I hope you all are doing great please email anything that we see what we can do about that oh give me one sec all right so let me show you how this is going to work I'm gonna minimize camera here so y'all don't have to see my face anymore all right so we are gonna open a website so this is just what you're going do she just gonna open a website here and we're gonna go to WWE d GE nu ity EDG e nu ity dot-com IDI chin-hua t alright and we're gonna go and it's gonna look like this alright and so the next thing we're gonna do is we are going to log in and the log in button is gonna be right there we're gonna log in and obviously you guys are students so we're gonna log into the student and then for the most part I will let any of you know that this is not the case but if you notice I actually have logged on just to make sure practice some of you guys but um I created one for myself so pretty much when we created your accounts we did your first dot your last name okay and that is it and then for right now we set up the password to be one two three four five okay so just first dot last name and then your password was one two three four five now you can change that once you log in but this was just so week everybody everybody consistent now I feel like maybe I'll have to look there might be a few of you that we had to throw a number at the end of your name but for the most part everybody is just gonna be first not last and then password one two three four five and then you're gonna login okay now this will be true whether your math two or your mastery that now you are literally just going to click on whichever now yours will only have your class now I know like miss Myers is using this I know that Sir Walter is also using this a little bit as well so you might have their other classes but for you guys it'll just say either motley math - if you're in math - or motley math 3 if you are in Matt 3 and what you're going to do is you're going to click on that alright now this will look a little different for right now I kind of have it open okay I sort of have it open so that I could I was able to jump around to different activities but now for you guys once I go back and change it because I think right now and I might leave this open that way for you guys but it has where you will have to do kind of one thing at a time okay so it will just have this and then once you complete this then it'll move to that and once you complete that then it'll move to that so on and so forth ok so that is one thing where this is a little different you're gonna you're gonna have to go in order where I can jump around a little bit but what we're gonna do so you would click on the warm up and then as you can see I'm just gonna load our video come to class in this lesson which what is necessary to prove my statement is true ok so you are gonna kind of work your way so there was the first see how done here it says 1 see where I'm at 1 out of 3 then you could go to the second page so on and so forth alright there's me with my long hair and then we're gonna once again and then you would go to your third page ok I think it makes you actually you know watch the lessons so you're gonna have to you know watch and sort of pay attention as they go through before you can move to the next okay before you can move to the next page all right and then once you do that then you can move on so that was just the warmup then you can move on to the instruction or the introduction of proofs piece so this is the actual lesson and basically the same thing they're just like little mini clips they're gonna give notes and things like that and so on and so forth okay questions there okay questions there all right so I mean I've noticed over here to the side you know it says you have what they call a notes so you can on yours you can go through and kind of do notes as you meet as you're watching the lesson you can kind of type in your own notes here blow bubbles look and it'll say to your account so if you go back later and look that was up here see the - see the little plus over here where I'm just kind of scrolling right under my name there's the plus okay so he was done with that lesson we could go ahead and move him on and like I said so you can kind of work your way through and do a little a notes as you go alright so on and so forth and then you're just gonna kind of go through the lesson notice here - there's a glossary so different words that he uses you can it'll tell you about those you can also look at the transcript all right so if you don't want to watch the video necessarily or if you want to get back and just look at what he was saying you literally it word for word time for time tells you what he was saying right here alright so there's transcript there was colossal and there is enix alright questions there like I said and what you're gonna do once you do that is you would move on once again now this will naturally so you have to do one before you can get where right now I can jump you're gonna have to do one to get to the other so last but not least you know look at maybe what a quiz would look like this is a little assessment you will begin you have two ten attempts remaining so done it up okay there is a ten hour time limit on this out this I mean it should be pretty self-explanatory and you would work your way through the quiz now it doesn't look like you know you can go back things like that if you need to all right questions there so I'm going to save an exit all right questions there so that's just kind of like a little brief overview and then notice it took us to our next thing and so on and so forth and so notice here now I have set some dates now I didn't really set them until the official start date but I'd love for you to go ahead and get started that way if some things take you a little bit longer that you will get through and it'll it really just kind of depend but every day I notice here I mean it might look like a lot but you know and it's gonna depend on the day - like some days you might not have time wise as much as other days and I'll periodically kind of watch this to see how things go and check in with you but that is gonna be the case like I said so that was that if we go home like I said my three pretty much identically the same nothing different there you're just gonna sort of work your way through and as we go I'll definitely keep an eye on if I need to take out anything sona so for the weekend we can work through that like I said this is gonna be kind of a learning curve for all of us so yes alright so what I'd like for you to do I'm assuming that you have watched this video would be my assumption let's pull our camera back up here and there we go so I'm assuming that we have watched this video so what I want you to do I'm gonna post this on Google classroom is I want you just to send me a little message and tell me a joke all right tell me a joke all right so that's what I want you to do that way I know that you have watched this video so if you didn't watch it on all right how won't you tell me Japan that's it you guys like I said so I'll post some further directions but for the most part starting you know I want you to log on and just try to do the first assignment the little first one is just a little four-minute introduction but that way I can see that you have logged on and done it all right and then I'll definitely be in contact with mortar directions as time goes on all right I really do hope you guys are doing great and let us know if you need anything at all
