Exploring Wind Creek Casinos Experience

Hi there, this is Dr. Price and I'm going to take you on a virtual trip with Wind Creek Casinos. The ones we're going to visit are Wind Creek Atmore, Alabama and the Wind Creek in Wetumpka. To begin with in Atmore, you'll see that the amenities that are included is an amphitheater, a full movie theater, bowling alley, arcade, inside bar, an 18-hole golf course. and various restaurants throughout the whole area. These amphitheaters have held national acts. It is an outdoor theater, as you can see, and it is kind of located right there over the lake, and that kind of gives you a view of the golf course. What I'll do is talk you through some of this. The casinos here only have slot machines. They also do a lot of promotion. Giveaways. I was there during the Halloween time or October and took most of these pictures and gathered some. It's really neat that throughout the design of the casino, they have the artifacts from the Porch Creek Indians, which are the way that the casino can run is on the burial ground of the Porch Creek Indians. And there's some of that there in. Wetumpka as well as in Atmore whereas the hotel itself doesn't have to be on the grounds however, the casino gambling area has to be on the on the ancient grounds. I found that to be very interesting. As you see here, we're in the fitness studio overlooking the infinity pool and It's a 750 square feet facility there. Lots of scenery and windows all in front of it. But this is the infinity pool and it was not a warm time when I was there so I didn't get to see much or visit the pool but I took pictures of it. We're visiting now, we're going to go into the spa at Wind Creek. I do have a lady who's walking me around and walking me through and talking me through it. She has a, the vocals didn't pick up on this video. So this is the waiting area and the waiting room for the spa itself. And then you're able to walk through. The rooms, it comes right into the area for the nail salon, nail care, pedicure, and different things there. That's kind of what you're seeing now is where they're able to do the pedicure and the manicures. Then they were able to walk us through the wet area, the dry area. Obviously, there's sections just for mail. locker rooms for males, locker rooms for females, and a very interesting co-ed section that kind of comes together. So you're able to have lockers there, you have your own area to put your stuff and relax. Obviously the smooth music is playing as well as aromatherapy was kind of infused into it. You had a wet and dry area, you had the saunas as well as... The hot room, the steam room, and I think a hot tub and a cold tub. While taking the video, I didn't want to capture any people, so I tried not to. That's the sauna there, and then you're able to see the hot tub there and the cold tub. And like I said, I was trying not to capture people. This is very interesting. It's called the Honey Wall, and they're all different colors and shades of honey if you see the colors. And on the back, it says where they're from. I asked them the purpose of this because I thought it was very neat. And he said the purpose of it was pretty much just for looks. But I thought it was very cool to have honey from all over. And then the last few turns of the spa there had the massage therapy rooms and areas. And just real relaxing. I think now we're going into the co-ed section of it. So on the right hand side the women's locker room will let out. On the left hand side of this waiting area here the men's locker room will let out. They all corrugate here into this sun tanning pool deck area and a bathing pool, which is not, like I said, not a swimming pool, but just a lounging pool. It is not a hot tub. It's just like a regular pool. I don't remember if it's a tanning deck. It's a current pool. And it was very interesting and just kind of a good... Scenery, I think this gives you a great To lounge and again, it's just a swimming pool, but not a hot tub Then a unique area I really liked was called the kitchen at Wind Creek. And this is dining in with the kitchen when you have celebrity chefs or a host of the chef cooking for you and then serving you. This is a different kitchen altogether. This is the cooking stations. If you look and see, you can see about 8 to 12 cooking stations that teams will go in and learn how to cook. Now in In front of that, you have a dining area, too, that once you prepare your meal as part of the cooking team, you're able to put it on the tables and actually dine with the group that you went through there with. Now we're in the casino and the sound bar there. When you have an indoor venue of a special guest, you have the whole thing of the guests come. in an intimate setting, not just a big amphitheater setting. So an indoor sound bar. We're going through the rooms a little bit. I think he's going to take us through one of the suites. And at the end of this hallway, they were doing construction. And that wall you see at the end of this hallway is a facade wall. And it's just a plywood board put up with art painted and put art on it. So it looks like it's the end of the hallway. However, it's not. construction being done on the other side of the hallway which i thought was really cool we go in here to one of the suites or one of the villas they call it here at wind creek atmoore and you see the chandeliers and the um the front area then it obviously goes into the bedroom area and the dining area but it's just it's a very very large and immaculately kept villa that not everybody gets to see this area. He does walk us into the bathrooms to see the area or the TV that is located inside of the mirror, which is very interesting too. So you can kind of get a gist of how big it is. I know when he pushed play, he was trying to get the TV to play and it didn't play that day, but you'll be able to see the snow, but snow meaning in the video or the TV. Snow, not real snow in South Alabama. This is some of the views from that penthouse suite, or I think this one is one of the villas. So it was a very, very interesting tour. And then, here we go. So now you see kind of the picture in his power and it on. You see the picture of the TV inside the bathroom mirror, and that's what I meant by snow. So it didn't work that day, but he, maintenance came up as we were walking down to fix it. So that's one of the neat things we were able to see in some of the hotel videos. But this one was very well done. And then we were able to go out a little bit. I think it's going to do a change here soon. Oh, this is the infinity pool outside. And like I said, some of these pictures were theirs and some of them were mine. This is right outside of the spa in the kitchen area is the nice gift shop. And like I said, they have a full-scale cinema. I don't, not sure how many screens, but a full-scale cinema that they run themselves. It's not run by an outsourced company. We're now at the Wind Creek Wetumpka. And of course, it was Christmas during that time. So you'll see a lot of the Christmas. stuff and this is what I was talking about. There's no table games. It's just all slots. In the middle of their slot machine is this bar called Tanked. This is like center focus and of the Tanked bar is that huge aquarium which is just kind of a beautiful drop to the middle of all those casino, all those slot machines. The glass hanging from the ceiling It's all about to be redone here, and it was done at the I wasn't able to point it out in the first half of this video, but they're red, yellow, and orange glass-blown feathers hanging from the ceiling, again, noting the Indian ownership of the casino, which is very, very neat. This is the outdoor pool, and this is also the... the up there in Wetumpka that's right on the lake. They have an initiative here for the hotel guests to to get a resort credit if they opt not to have their linens done every day and they're able to get the credit longer than they stay ten dollars a day. The Fire Steakhouse has won many awards. That's a Ford Diamond Award in 2015. And obviously they would have all the dining options and bars of different levels of carry and take or dine in. These are one of the suites as well upstairs. And they were able to show us some of the other areas. And this is a Wetumpka. So this is one of the presidential suites. In our next video we will have one of the managers talk to us about his career. But this one is more just showing you through the hotels and casinos of the different areas. There were special events going on and there's one on the top floor called the Sky Bar and this is a picture of the Sky Bar. Corporate groups or companies can just rent this area out just for like a penthouse suite or um. hospitality room for them or their group. Now this is a presidential suite and again, all these are usually higher with the beautiful views of the river there and we dumped our fitness room here. Now that doesn't have the overlook of what the other fitness room had, but it was a very nice space over there. I believe that was a glass elevator and then the conference center there overlooking the river itself. Now we're going to have Christian take us through a mock check-in. My name is Christian Hardy. I've been here for about seven months. Seven months. But we'll go through a small check-in process, which is okay. Okay. All right, so it's going to work a little better. My name is Christian. But when checking in with guests, we do not place bad essentials inside the room. We like to do something totally different. So what we have here are three interesting smelling fragrance that you can ever see. The first one would be the cucumber. Second one is cocoa mango. And the final one would be bamboo. And to break that down on the sense of what we're going for, we have cucumber, which is more of a tropical island. We have Coco Mango, which is like a walk down the Jamaican beach. And the final one, which would be the Bamboo, which is very soft and mild. Puts you in the mind of baby lotion. Thank you. Now, of the gender that checks in, who picks out what? Mostly the women will pick the Coco Mango. Believe it or not, guys will too, so I'm not complaining. But mostly the guys normally go with the Bamboo, which is the lighter scent.
