we've LED over 150 000 sessions with tens of thousands of companies to help them crystallize their vision and we know that it's never that a leadership team doesn't have a vision it's that they simply don't agree and while that's completely normal I invite you to consider a discipline that will solve that for you and your team forever it's simply called answering the eight questions here's how it works as EOS implementers we help leadership teams agree on the answers to eight simple questions about their business after years of use with entrepreneurial companies from every imaginable industry our founder Gina Wickman realized there are only eight questions that really matter for a leadership team to create one Clear Vision any leadership team needs to ask themselves all of these eight questions and agree on the answers to have a Crystal Clear Vision that they can take to the rest of the organization you might have a leadership team of two or ten although a typical leadership team is three to seven every single member of that leadership team must 100 percent agree with the answers to these questions and so here they are answer question number one what are your core values what are the three to seven characteristics that uniquely Define you as a leadership team as a company and as a culture you must agree on those three to seven question number two is what is your core Focus what is your company's Sweet Spot what is the true core where you Excel again the leadership team needs to agree and make sure no one is trying to dabble in any shiny stuff outside that core Focus question number three what is your 10 year Target what is your overriding goal you're all working this hard towards usually this is somewhere between 5 and 30 years out we call it the 10-year Target because most of our clients choose 10 years but what do you all agree is that Big Goal what is the finish line question number four what is your marketing strategy this one has a few elements baked into it first who is your ideal target market what are the three uniques that you're selling and telling the world what is your proven process for doing business with customers what is your guaranteed pledge or promise to your customers that puts their mind at ease when doing business with you and again the entire leadership team has to agree on each of those elements that make up your marketing strategy question number five what is your three year picture this paints a picture of the revenue the profit and measurable goals you want to achieve in the next three years and then in five to Fifteen bullet points paint a picture that everyone can agree on for how your organization will look in three short years question number six what is your one year plan so going into the next year what is the revenue The Profit the measurable goals that will get you closer to achieving that three-year picture what are the three to seven most important things that the entire leadership team agrees you must get done in the coming year a reminder here that less is more just three to seven question number seven what are your quarterly rocks your rocks bring things down to the ground what are the three to seven most important things that you and your team must get done in the next 90 days to make that one year plan a reality those rocks will put you on track to achieve that three-year picture and ultimately make your 10-year Target a reality remember you all have to agree on these quarterly rocks and then last but not least question number eight what are your issues what does the leadership team agree or the issues obstacles barriers ideas and opportunities that will impact your organization's tenure Target as a leadership team what can you admit are the issues you face going forward just naming these issues is good therapy they all belong on the issues list and that's it I promise you if you get on the same page with your leadership team on the answers to these eight questions you'll get aligned you'll get everyone rowing in the same direction you'll have a Crystal Clear Vision to take to the rest of your organization to help you we've created a tool called The Vision traction organizer or the VTO this tool enables you to capture the answers to the eight questions in a simple easy to use format the VTO is free and downloadable on our website at eosworldwide.com VTO foreign [Music]
