Crochet Shrek Bucket Hat Tutorial

Materials Needed

  • 8 ply milk cotton yarn (green)
  • 5 mm crochet hook (H size)
  • Tapestry needle

Brim of the Hat

  • Alternate between increase and non-increase rounds for desired brim length

Shrek Ears

  • Make a slip knot and chain 10, sl st to join round
  • Round 1: 1 sc in each stitch (continuous rounds, no sl st)
  • Rounds 2-4: Continue with 1 sc in each stitch
  • Round 5: 2 sc in front loops of each stitch (total 20 stitches)
  • Rounds 6-8: 1 sc in each stitch
  • Finish off and weave in ends
  • Make another ear following the same pattern
  • Fold ears if desired and sew along the 6th and 7th rows

Final Touches

  • Weave in all ends securely
  • Adjust and secure ears for a cute look
