PS5 Modding Overview

from debug menus game backups and even playing online right now is an amazing time to be in the PS5 modded Community new projects are being launched every day and the scene is moving fast so I want to give you a rundown of everything that&#39;s possible with a modded PS5 right now this video has been 3 years in the making and I can&#39;t wait to show you everything I&#39;ve discovered so far so this is it I waited a very long time to unbox this thing I bought this thing back in April of 2021 and it&#39;s been sitting in a box sealed ever since if you remember how hard it was to get a PS5 in that time imagine trying to get two of these now this PS5 is special because it&#39;s been sitting on a very low firmware disconnected from the rest of the world waiting for this exact moment where there&#39;s finally a jailbreak for this thing Jesus Christ and man I did not anticipate how expensive these things would be going for nowadays I did not expect this thing to be this expensive oh my God there&#39;s no way so how do you know if your console can be modded well right now only a very few firmware models are able to actually run the jailbreak as of 2024 that&#39;s any PS5 running from 3.20 to 4 .50 and no you can&#39;t downgrade firmwares before anyone asks considering that the latest update of ps5s right now is like 8.40 or even higher by the time that you watch this that means the only ones that are even going to be potentially modable are older sealed sets that haven&#39;t ever been updated and that&#39;s why the thing is so expensive almost no one thought to keep these things sealed now not just any sealed PS5 can be modded so how do you know well each PS5 box has a little model number down here now there&#39;s a handy little chart that can help you figure this out pause if you want to read it but basically these ones right here yeah they&#39;re old enough that they&#39;ll have a low enough firmware to be able to jailbreak these ones are 50/50 they could possibly have a low firmware but at this point they might also have Shi with a firmware that isn&#39;t modable anymore and anything in the red is no not happening they&#39;re way too new I forget about PS5 Slims pretty much anything after 2022 is a no-o my PS5 sits around here which means 50/50 shot ahead of modable firmware although judging by the length of the video I&#39;m sure you already know what happened 3.2 baby 3.2 yes sir okay now that we got all that out of the way how do you jailbreak this thing well just like the last two PlayStation consoles it&#39;s all done by running an exploit through the browser now after time and time again of their stuff constantly getting exploited by hackers Sony finally wised up and got rid of the browser app on PS5 but where there&#39;s a will there&#39;s a way and we still find a way around that too so first things first before we connect to the Internet it&#39;s important to go into our system settings and disable any automatic updates or downloads they could potentially install a firmware update that won&#39;t let us jailbreak anymore then we can go connect our PS5 to the internet now if you see this popup show up saying that it&#39;s downloading a firmware update don&#39;t worry you can just delete it from the downloads menu now the only way we&#39;re able to access the outside internet now is through the ps5s built-in user guide but we can&#39;t do anything in here we can&#39;t change the url go to any bookmark sites nothing so here&#39;s where it gets crazy using a very convoluted set of redirects we can leave Sony&#39;s user guide to catch a Sony&#39;s main website to get to Sony&#39;s YouTube page which we can then sign into to get to Google Port page which finally leads us here to just Google when I first saw this I was in shock how people managed to figure this out from Google now we can just find a site that hosts the payload that we need we&#39;re going to hit jailbreak and 50/50 chance your PS5 turns off no worries though just turn it back on and try again eventually you&#39;ll get through to this menu hit ETA hen and there you go your PS5 is officially modded how cool is that all right now we can start doing all the fun modding stuff on this PS5 but before we do I need to make a few things clear the PS5 modding scene right now is moving really really fast like really fast uh right now moders are discovering a whole bunch of different things about the system because this thing is still really really new we&#39;re like going in the climbing up phase of the roller coaster right now so I&#39;m going to show you a lot of different stuff but just keep in mind that a lot of this stuff could possibly change in the future but for now I got a long list of things that I want to show when you go into the settings and scroll all the way down you should see a new menu called debug settings and this is all the stuff that a developer PS5 has access to now all this stuff is cool but the big thing we want to play with here is the package installer which let you install pretty much whatever we want Homebrew emulators PS4 games and PS5 games kind of so we can just grab ptg files from any website using the computer and just transfer them to the PS5 using a flash drive so here&#39;s some of the first notable apps that you would want to install first up is a web browser app that way we don&#39;t have to use the user gide anymore to access the internet it makes it much easier to just hop in here and rerun our exploit if we have a reboot our system next is items flow now this app is one of the big apps for modded systems this app lets you manage your PS4 rips PS5 rips your Homebrew all in one place it also lets you dump your physical copies of PS4 games really easily so using the help of a computer you can just convert them into a package file that you can just install straight to your PS4 without needing the disc anymore how cool is that and yes you can even install and play listed games so stuff like PT isn&#39;t lost of time anymore and we can even mod it to make it run even better on the PS5 but more on that in a bit PS5 games can be dumped with this too it&#39;s actually the only way right now to be able to run PS5 rips uh it&#39;s a little more complicated so it&#39;s not as simple as PS4 rips like for example not every game can be ripped there is a compatibility list right now and ripping DLC is just a mess right now but it is technically possible funny thing is contrary to what Sony says a lot of games don&#39;t actually need to run on a super fast SSD like they said they do so using items flow that means you can just drag and drop rips to an SSD or a slower hard drive plug it into your PS5 and just run them off of there without having to fill up the internal storage Drive how cool is that lead to another sector next is the home BR store which at the time of recording this isn&#39;t actually supported on my firmware uh so I&#39;ll just take some footage from the developer Instead This is where you can download and install more apps Homebrew games emulators cheat menus and a bunch of other stuff that people have made it&#39;s pretty much just a shortcut so you don&#39;t have to transfer apps using a flash drive if if you don&#39;t want to PS5 Explorer is a file browser app it lets you transfer over files back and forth uh does this useful you just want to like copy game rith back and forth between external drives and that&#39;s pretty much it like I said the scene is still continuously being developed so there&#39;s not like a bunch of stuff out there right now but over time I&#39;m sure this list is going to get way longer if I missed anything that might be interesting to cover let me know in the comments I&#39;d be happy to include it in the list oh this next one is a fun one uh you actually can play online using a modded PS5 kind of uh using a modded client called easyfn we can actually get OG fortnite running on the PS5 you make an account on their forums install the modded PKG to your console sign in and you&#39;re up and running in like 5 minutes it seems as of now the running some version of season 7 which came out in December of 2018 and all the cosmetics and dances and all the other stuff were unlocked out of the box so you can choose whatever you want to play with it has its own pool of players that are playing on PC modded PS4s ps5s Androids and modded switches now I&#39;ll be honest it took a little while to get into a game after waiting about sevenish minutes we still only got a Lobby of about 24 players but yeah the whole game is there including OG tilted and pleasant Park I can&#39;t crank 90s for the life of me but I like to think I&#39;m pretty good at building now this isn&#39;t actually exclusive to the PS4 but it runs a lot better on the PS5 and it&#39;s really cool seeing something running that shouldn&#39;t be possible at all if you want to give this a shot for your even if you don&#39;t have a moded PS5 uh I&#39;ll leave a link in the description to a tweet that&#39;ll get you started on everything that you need to get this running now let&#39;s talk about 60 FPS patches you see these games now what do all of these games have in common that&#39;s right they&#39;re all stuck on the PS4 with no way to play them at 60 FPS on the PS5 now this was the big thing back in the PS4 modding scene basically pushing modded update packages to run 30 FPS lock games to 60 FPS and in some cases it was literally just as easy as changing a number from 30 to 60 but even on the PS4 Pro we had to make some compromises like running the games in 720p or dealing with constant frame dips well not a problem here anymore using a tool called lip hijacker which apparently is just like a temporary name for now uh we can install the patch on the PS5 itself so it can unlock the frame rates on a bunch of different compatible games and this list is long a lot of the games can be pushed to 60 and even some can be pushed to 120 FPS okay so I had a whole walk through here how you use a computer and like a python script to push these patches to your PS5 but in the middle of researching this video it actually got easier so all you have to do now now is just run ETA hen like normal FTP into your PS5 using a computer go to data hen edit the config file and change the cheats line from zero to one and that&#39;s it you&#39;re done best part is unlike the PS4 where you had to manually build and install each package file for every game you wanted to update you push the script over to the PS5 once and it patches all the compatible games at once so you don&#39;t have to think about it again d games do have to be on a specific version to be able to run these patches for example Drive Club needs the spef spefic update version 1.28 to run and the disc obviously shifts with version 1.0 so right now it wouldn&#39;t work fortunately there are plenty of websites that host the update package file you can just download it merge it if necessary and install it onto the PS5 see easy so here it is never before seen PS4 games that are finally playable in 60fps okay drive Club this this one makes me sad man a bad string of management decisions made this game shut down way too early in my opinion and because of that we never really got to see what could have been well check this out the PS5 finally lets us see the true potential of this game and holy crap if you told me this was a PS5 launch title I honestly would have believe you this game still looks gorgeous and running it at 60 frames absolutely makes it feel that much faster I&#39;m I&#39;m I&#39;m not even going to talk here Ju Just watch this please now I&#39;ll be honest I always wanted to try Red Dead 2 uh I&#39;ve heard phenomenal things about the game but honestly every time I try to play it on my PS5 I get put off by the frame rate usually 30 PS isn&#39;t a problem for me but on Red Dead for some reason it feels particularly sluggish and choppy and I can&#39;t for Life me figure out why now obviously if you have a BV PC I&#39;d highly suggest just playing it there where you can just run it at like 16k 400 FPS and all that but hey this is a PS5 video don&#39;t question now at this point it&#39;s been almost 6 years since this game came out and we haven&#39;t seen a PS5 patch so it&#39;s safe to say that either they don&#39;t feel like it&#39;s necessary or they&#39;re planning on re-releasing a remaster version for the PS5 where they charge you another 60 bucks to get it well too bad Rockstar here it is running on the PS5 and sure enough it absolutely gets rid of the slugg that I was talking about running this way it almost feels like GTA 5 honestly this is honestly just a really neat proof of concept to show that the PS5 is more than capable of running this thing at 60 frames although I do feel like we as consumers eventually have to start putting our foot down it&#39;s getting aggravating that they can just re-release the same games for $60 and know that they can get away with it because oh hey they unlocked the frame rate now the order 188 6 is also one of those really visually stunning games I remember when the PS4 first came out this is what convinced me that we&#39;re heading towards the next gen the cut scenes the Ambiance yeah this stuff straight up couldn&#39;t be possible on [Music] PS3 unfortunately it flopped mostly because $60 for a single player game wasn&#39;t really common at the time and coming from a new IP h no one really wanted to take a Gable on that and because of that it was abandoned pretty quickly forever stuck on 30 frames well now it&#39;s liberated and this really opens up the game it feels phenomenal and looks just as good as I remember it need to reload re Sony it&#39;s been 9 years please do you want me to beg here look it&#39;s no secret bloodborne arguably best Souls game of all time still forever stuck at 30 frames now a couple years back I did show off how you can run it at 60 FR on a jailbroken PS4 Pro but it wasn&#39;t a consistent 60 and even on a PS4 Pro it had to be running at 720p just to even kind of reach it well no more the PS5 is plenty capable and not only can we patch it to run at 1080p 60 frames if you want to get really crazy we can also patch it to run at 120 FPS this is my TV it&#39;s a Samsung frame it&#39;s the only thing I own that has a built-in FPS counter and supports High refresh rates uh and you can see exactly when the game switches over to 120 FPS mode and this thing is smooth it does drop frames on on occasion but I actually wasn&#39;t able to capture it on camera because 99% of the time it&#39;s actually like a rock hard 120 FPS at this point I&#39;m tired of waiting I&#39;m keeping this hooked up to my TV after this video is done and this is just going to be my official blio machine this is the best way we have in 2024 to play this game okay now here&#39;s something I actually haven&#39;t seen anywhere on YouTube yet the Silent Hill PG demo running on a modded PS5 now if you were to try and launch this on a regular PS5 I actually wouldn&#39;t let you because it&#39;s delisted plus demos aren&#39;t backward compatible oddly enough well on a jailbroken PS5 not only are we able to actually launch it and play it yes we even got it running at 60 frames don&#39;t worry I&#39;m not going to show off jump scares or anything [Music] here it&#39;s a damn shame we&#39;ll never get to see what this game could turn out to be but seeing it run this way I&#39;ll just let this clip play out a little bit okay so this tool that allows these 60 FPS patches to all be possible it also has another really neat feature that allows us to access Dev menus on certain PS5 games which are just in the simplest terms here basically just mod menus that developers use to test out their game but are usually patched out for the full release of the game there&#39;s two games that work on the PS5 right now the Uncharted L Legacy Collection which I don&#39;t have and Demon Souls luckily I actually have Demon Souls so let me show you what you can do so when you activate the dev mode the first thing that shows up is a menu asking you what you want to access uh zero lets you just select whatever level you want number one launches the game like normal and three or four just have like model viewers and stuff like that and there&#39;s a lot of stuff to explore here a lot of testing levels that were never really designed to be seen by us normies clicking in L3 and R3 gets you back to the main debug menu in normal walkthrough mode you can do a bunch of crazy stuff uh for example pressing the lower left side of the touchpad you can freeze the game and look around the map it&#39;s kind of nice being able to basically have a free mode camera to see how they designed everything and pressing on the top left of the touchpad opens up another debug menu that lets you control a whole whole bunch of other stuff now I only mentioned these button presses because there&#39;s very little documentation on all of this so I had to figure this all out on my own now there&#39;s a lot of stuff to discover here it has menu for character build so they can test out that everything works for every play [Music] style a debug cameras you can free roam while in cutcenes and other stuff this is the NEX and there&#39;s a lot of other Secrets here too surprisingly like for example even though this is a PS5 exclusive they already programmed in fixed resolutions for PS4 and PS4 Pro I want to keep exploring what else I can find on here so right after I upload this video I&#39;m going to be hopping in my Discord and sharing my screen so we can experiment with the debug menu and hopefully you guys can help me discover some more stuff Link in the description if you want to join it it should be fun now I won&#39;t lie to you the PS5 is still relatively new and I&#39;m assuming less than a couple hundred people actually have moded ps5s right now so development for these cheats and mod menus are kind of slow right now but I assume that the compatibility for these games and mod menus and all that stuff will get better as time goes on okay so I saw that a lot of you guys had some questions about the process on my Discord so I&#39;m going to look through here and like just rack off a few of the common ones I keep seeing every now and then okay so the first two big ones that I keep seeing over and over again is can I still play online with this and will I get banned for doing this so here&#39;s the thing you need the latest forw update to play any online games on the PS5 no matter what so if a new one comes out tomorrow you need that new one specifically to play tomorrow and if a new one comes out in a week you need that specific one in a week to play online and because the the nature of the jailbreak that means you&#39;re basically always constantly running a firmware that&#39;s like 2 or 3 years old or 6 months old or a year old so no you can&#39;t play online other than like OG fortnite I guess I don&#39;t know okay is there any way to downgrade your firw where to jailbreak uh no just just straight up no no not at all uh a lot of people thought maybe if they just restore their PS5 to factory settings it&#39;ll just place on there the oldest firmware that&#39;s on there but that it doesn&#39;t work like that if you have a PS5 and it isn&#39;t on the list that I made in the beginning uh you have no choice but to just wait so what what&#39;s the next most likely firmware to be exploited now if you really want to set a PS5 and wait right now it&#39;s like 100% confirmed that there is an exploit that does work on 7.0 it just hasn&#39;t been disclosed yet and that firmware came out in August of 2023 so as long as it hasn&#39;t been connected to the internet in about a year uh that&#39;s your best bet right now okay so what about Linux can you run Steam switch games and all that other stuff on there okay now the reason that people are asking this is because back on the PS4 modding scene uh there was a way that you can actually run a Linux Dro on your PS4 and you can do a bunch of crazy stuff like run Steam and like play play emulators and stuff like that I don&#39;t want to be the better bad news but as of right now no you can&#39;t do any of that and we don&#39;t even have a full jailbreak for the system just yet so we don&#39;t have access to like everything on the console so I honestly couldn&#39;t tell you when it would happen it could be 2 weeks from now it could be 2 years from now all we can do is really wait is piracy possible yes but I&#39;m not I&#39;m not going to talk about that here what come on anyways the world is finally starting to open up for PS5 modding uh there&#39;s a lot of stuff here and I cannot wait to see what other developers are going to be able to do just run them off of there without having to fill up the internal storage Drive how cool is that lead to another sector next is the home BR store which at the time of recording this isn&amp;#39;t actually supported on my firmware uh so I&amp;#39;ll just take some footage from the developer Instead This is where you can download and install more apps Homebrew games emulators cheat menus and a bunch of other stuff that people have made it&amp;#39;s pretty much just a shortcut so you don&amp;#39;t have to transfer apps using a flash drive if if you don&amp;#39;t want to PS5 Explorer is a file browser app it lets you transfer over files back and forth uh does this useful you just want to like copy game rith back and forth between external drives and that&amp;#39;s pretty much it like I said the scene is still continuously being developed so there&amp;#39;s not like a bunch of stuff out there right now but over time I&amp;#39;m sure this list is going to get way longer if I missed anything that might be interesting to cover let me know in the comments I&amp;#39;d be happy to include it in the list oh this next one is a fun one uh you actually can play online using a modded PS5 kind of uh using a modded client called easyfn we can actually get OG fortnite running on the PS5 you make an account on their forums install the modded PKG to your console sign in and you&amp;#39;re up and running in like 5 minutes it seems as of now the running some version of season 7 which came out in December of 2018 and all the cosmetics and dances and all the other stuff were unlocked out of the box so you can choose whatever you want to play with it has its own pool of players that are playing on PC modded PS4s ps5s Androids and modded switches now I&amp;#39;ll be honest it took a little while to get into a game after waiting about sevenish minutes we still only got a Lobby of about 24 players but yeah the whole game is there including OG tilted and pleasant Park I can&amp;#39;t crank 90s for the life of me but I like to think I&amp;#39;m pretty good at building now this isn&amp;#39;t actually exclusive to the PS4 but it runs a lot better on the PS5 and it&amp;#39;s really cool seeing something running that shouldn&amp;#39;t be possible at all if you want to give this a shot for your even if you don&amp;#39;t have a moded PS5 uh I&amp;#39;ll leave a link in the description to a tweet that&amp;#39;ll get you started on everything that you need to get this running now let&amp;#39;s talk about 60 FPS patches you see these games now what do all of these games have in common that&amp;#39;s right they&amp;#39;re all stuck on the PS4 with no way to play them at 60 FPS on the PS5 now this was the big thing back in the PS4 modding scene basically pushing modded update packages to run 30 FPS lock games to 60 FPS and in some cases it was literally just as easy as changing a number from 30 to 60 but even on the PS4 Pro we had to make some compromises like running the games in 720p or dealing with constant frame dips well not a problem here anymore using a tool called lip hijacker which apparently is just like a temporary name for now uh we can install the patch on the PS5 itself so it can unlock the frame rates on a bunch of different compatible games and this list is long a lot of the games can be pushed to 60 and even some can be pushed to 120 FPS okay so I had a whole walk through here how you use a computer and like a python script to push these patches to your PS5 but in the middle of researching this video it actually got easier so all you have to do now now is just run ETA hen like normal FTP into your PS5 using a computer go to data hen edit the config file and change the cheats line from zero to one and that&amp;#39;s it you&amp;#39;re done best part is unlike the PS4 where you had to manually build and install each package file for every game you wanted to update you push the script over to the PS5 once and it patches all the compatible games at once so you don&amp;#39;t have to think about it again d games do have to be on a specific version to be able to run these patches for example Drive Club needs the spef spefic update version 1.28 to run and the disc obviously shifts with version 1.0 so right now it wouldn&amp;#39;t work fortunately there are plenty of websites that host the update package file you can just download it merge it if necessary and install it onto the PS5 see easy so here it is never before seen PS4 games that are finally playable in 60fps okay drive Club this this one makes me sad man a bad string of management decisions made this game shut down way too early in my opinion and because of that we never really got to see what could have been well check this out the PS5 finally lets us see the true potential of this game and holy crap if you told me this was a PS5 launch title I honestly would have believe you this game still looks gorgeous and running it at 60 frames absolutely makes it feel that much faster I&amp;#39;m I&amp;#39;m I&amp;#39;m not even going to talk here Ju Just watch this please now I&amp;#39;ll be honest I always wanted to try Red Dead 2 uh I&amp;#39;ve heard phenomenal things about the game but honestly every time I try to play it on my PS5 I get put off by the frame rate usually 30 PS isn&amp;#39;t a problem for me but on Red Dead for some reason it feels particularly sluggish and choppy and I can&amp;#39;t for Life me figure out why now obviously if you have a BV PC I&amp;#39;d highly suggest just playing it there where you can just run it at like 16k 400 FPS and all that but hey this is a PS5 video don&amp;#39;t question now at this point it&amp;#39;s been almost 6 years since this game came out and we haven&amp;#39;t seen a PS5 patch so it&amp;#39;s safe to say that either they don&amp;#39;t feel like it&amp;#39;s necessary or they&amp;#39;re planning on re-releasing a remaster version for the PS5 where they charge you another 60 bucks to get it well too bad Rockstar here it is running on the PS5 and sure enough it absolutely gets rid of the slugg that I was talking about running this way it almost feels like GTA 5 honestly this is honestly just a really neat proof of concept to show that the PS5 is more than capable of running this thing at 60 frames although I do feel like we as consumers eventually have to start putting our foot down it&amp;#39;s getting aggravating that they can just re-release the same games for $60 and know that they can get away with it because oh hey they unlocked the frame rate now the order 188 6 is also one of those really visually stunning games I remember when the PS4 first came out this is what convinced me that we&amp;#39;re heading towards the next gen the cut scenes the Ambiance yeah this stuff straight up couldn&amp;#39;t be possible on [Music] PS3 unfortunately it flopped mostly because $60 for a single player game wasn&amp;#39;t really common at the time and coming from a new IP h no one really wanted to take a Gable on that and because of that it was abandoned pretty quickly forever stuck on 30 frames well now it&amp;#39;s liberated and this really opens up the game it feels phenomenal and looks just as good as I remember it need to reload re Sony it&amp;#39;s been 9 years please do you want me to beg here look it&amp;#39;s no secret bloodborne arguably best Souls game of all time still forever stuck at 30 frames now a couple years back I did show off how you can run it at 60 FR on a jailbroken PS4 Pro but it wasn&amp;#39;t a consistent 60 and even on a PS4 Pro it had to be running at 720p just to even kind of reach it well no more the PS5 is plenty capable and not only can we patch it to run at 1080p 60 frames if you want to get really crazy we can also patch it to run at 120 FPS this is my TV it&amp;#39;s a Samsung frame it&amp;#39;s the only thing I own that has a built-in FPS counter and supports High refresh rates uh and you can see exactly when the game switches over to 120 FPS mode and this thing is smooth it does drop frames on on occasion but I actually wasn&amp;#39;t able to capture it on camera because 99% of the time it&amp;#39;s actually like a rock hard 120 FPS at this point I&amp;#39;m tired of waiting I&amp;#39;m keeping this hooked up to my TV after this video is done and this is just going to be my official blio machine this is the best way we have in 2024 to play this game okay now here&amp;#39;s something I actually haven&amp;#39;t seen anywhere on YouTube yet the Silent Hill PG demo running on a modded PS5 now if you were to try and launch this on a regular PS5 I actually wouldn&amp;#39;t let you because it&amp;#39;s delisted plus demos aren&amp;#39;t backward compatible oddly enough well on a jailbroken PS5 not only are we able to actually launch it and play it yes we even got it running at 60 frames don&amp;#39;t worry I&amp;#39;m not going to show off jump scares or anything [Music] here it&amp;#39;s a damn shame we&amp;#39;ll never get to see what this game could turn out to be but seeing it run this way I&amp;#39;ll just let this clip play out a little bit okay so this tool that allows these 60 FPS patches to all be possible it also has another really neat feature that allows us to access Dev menus on certain PS5 games which are just in the simplest terms here basically just mod menus that developers use to test out their game but are usually patched out for the full release of the game there&amp;#39;s two games that work on the PS5 right now the Uncharted L Legacy Collection which I don&amp;#39;t have and Demon Souls luckily I actually have Demon Souls so let me show you what you can do so when you activate the dev mode the first thing that shows up is a menu asking you what you want to access uh zero lets you just select whatever level you want number one launches the game like normal and three or four just have like model viewers and stuff like that and there&amp;#39;s a lot of stuff to explore here a lot of testing levels that were never really designed to be seen by us normies clicking in L3 and R3 gets you back to the main debug menu in normal walkthrough mode you can do a bunch of crazy stuff uh for example pressing the lower left side of the touchpad you can freeze the game and look around the map it&amp;#39;s kind of nice being able to basically have a free mode camera to see how they designed everything and pressing on the top left of the touchpad opens up another debug menu that lets you control a whole whole bunch of other stuff now I only mentioned these button presses because there&amp;#39;s very little documentation on all of this so I had to figure this all out on my own now there&amp;#39;s a lot of stuff to discover here it has menu for character build so they can test out that everything works for every play [Music] style a debug cameras you can free roam while in cutcenes and other stuff this is the NEX and there&amp;#39;s a lot of other Secrets here too surprisingly like for example even though this is a PS5 exclusive they already programmed in fixed resolutions for PS4 and PS4 Pro I want to keep exploring what else I can find on here so right after I upload this video I&amp;#39;m going to be hopping in my Discord and sharing my screen so we can experiment with the debug menu and hopefully you guys can help me discover some more stuff Link in the description if you want to join it it should be fun now I won&amp;#39;t lie to you the PS5 is still relatively new and I&amp;#39;m assuming less than a couple hundred people actually have moded ps5s right now so development for these cheats and mod menus are kind of slow right now but I assume that the compatibility for these games and mod menus and all that stuff will get better as time goes on okay so I saw that a lot of you guys had some questions about the process on my Discord so I&amp;#39;m going to look through here and like just rack off a few of the common ones I keep seeing every now and then okay so the first two big ones that I keep seeing over and over again is can I still play online with this and will I get banned for doing this so here&amp;#39;s the thing you need the latest forw update to play any online games on the PS5 no matter what so if a new one comes out tomorrow you need that new one specifically to play tomorrow and if a new one comes out in a week you need that specific one in a week to play online and because the the nature of the jailbreak that means you&amp;#39;re basically always constantly running a firmware that&amp;#39;s like 2 or 3 years old or 6 months old or a year old so no you can&amp;#39;t play online other than like OG fortnite I guess I don&amp;#39;t know okay is there any way to downgrade your firw where to jailbreak uh no just just straight up no no not at all uh a lot of people thought maybe if they just restore their PS5 to factory settings it&amp;#39;ll just place on there the oldest firmware that&amp;#39;s on there but that it doesn&amp;#39;t work like that if you have a PS5 and it isn&amp;#39;t on the list that I made in the beginning uh you have no choice but to just wait so what what&amp;#39;s the next most likely firmware to be exploited now if you really want to set a PS5 and wait right now it&amp;#39;s like 100% confirmed that there is an exploit that does work on 7.0 it just hasn&amp;#39;t been disclosed yet and that firmware came out in August of 2023 so as long as it hasn&amp;#39;t been connected to the internet in about a year uh that&amp;#39;s your best bet right now okay so what about Linux can you run Steam switch games and all that other stuff on there okay now the reason that people are asking this is because back on the PS4 modding scene uh there was a way that you can actually run a Linux Dro on your PS4 and you can do a bunch of crazy stuff like run Steam and like play play emulators and stuff like that I don&amp;#39;t want to be the better bad news but as of right now no you can&amp;#39;t do any of that and we don&amp;#39;t even have a full jailbreak for the system just yet so we don&amp;#39;t have access to like everything on the console so I honestly couldn&amp;#39;t tell you when it would happen it could be 2 weeks from now it could be 2 years from now all we can do is really wait is piracy possible yes but I&amp;#39;m not I&amp;#39;m not going to talk about that here what come on anyways the world is finally starting to open up for PS5 modding uh there&amp;#39;s a lot of stuff here and I cannot wait to see what other developers are going to be able to do with this thing uh what do you think about this does anything here in particular interest you I&amp;#39;m sure you have a lot of
