Active 2.0 Pressure Washer Setup Guide

hi everyone welcome to the active 2.0 support video series my name is RO with active products and today we're going be diving in on how to troubleshoot your active [Music] 2.0 in today's video we'll be walking you through the setup operation and storage of the active products 2.0 pressure washer to begin setting up the unit first we're going to connect the high pressure hose to both the unit and the gun Begin by locating the pump Outlet on your unit with the anodized male threaded connection on the unit's pump connect the hose by placing the hose on this connector and turn in clockwise turn the hose until you feel resistance you only ever want to hand tighten this connection on your unit's gun you'll do the same thing locate the gun Inlet which is the anodized connection on the bottom of the gun place the hose on and just like the pump turn until you feel resistance next we'll connect your garden hose that will supply the unit with water on your unit locate the water inlet this will be the female brass connector on the unit pump connect the garden hose and tighten until you feel resistance assuming your hose is connected to your water sply now would be a good time to turn it on it's important to ensure the water is on before starting your unit as running the pump dry can cause serious damage to the machine next get a hold of your unit's wand and your desired spray tip holding the gun in your left hand connect the threaded end of the metal wand to the gun and turn the wand counterclockwise to connect the spray tip you wish to use gently slide back the collar of the wand and insert the tip after you can release the collar and it should return to its original position locking the tip in place ensuring your unit's power switch is set to the off Position will now connect the power supply the active 2.0 comes with a built-in ground Vault circuit interruptor or a GFCI this protects the unit in a case of an electrical short to ensure the unit functions when you plug the unit into the power recepticle firmly press and release the test button if done correctly the light on the GFCI should be illuminated the last step in the setup is to make sure there's no air in the lines of the unit to do this we will Purge the unit ensuring the power switch is still set to the off position release the trigger safety if it was previously locked then press the trigger till a steady stream of water flows out of the gun finally push the power switch to the on position and your unit is ready for operation you should hear your unit turn on spool up and then go quiet this is normal behavior as a unit comes equipped with TSS technology or total stop system this enables the motor to shut off when the trigger is not engaged now that your unit is operational pressing the trigger will create a high pressure stream of water however you may want to switch the spray tip you're using or connect the foam and halfway through a cleaning job to switch your spray tip Engage The Safety Lock on your spray gun slide the collar back on the metal wand and remove the previous spray tip insert the new spray tip and ensure the collar returns its original position disengage the Safety Lock and you're ready to clean to connect the foam Blaster Engage The Safety Lock on the spray gun and remove the wand if it's detached detach the spray head of the foam Blaster by turning it a quarter turn counterclockwise fill the bottle with a detergent of your choice and then finally attach the foam Blaster to the gun by turning the gun counterclockwise when working with the foam Cannon it's best to apply the detergent to a dry work surface pre- soaking the area will dilute the detergent and reduce its cleaning ability allow the detergent to sit on the surface for a short time soak into the dirt then rinse with water when you finish with your foam Cannon it's best to fill the bottle with clean water and spray for about a minute to remove any leftover soap residues once you're done with your cleaning it's important to shut down the unit properly to ensure its longevity to shut down your unit turn off the water supply and then quickly pull on the trigger of the gun to release any of the remaining water pressure turn your unit's power switch to the off position unplug the unit from the outlet and then engage a safety lock on the gun you can disconnect the high pressure hose from the unit and separate the gun wand and hose for storage if you live in a climate that gets below freezing it's crucial to winterize your unit as water expands when it's frozen allowing leftover water to sit in your unit can damage the internals the following steps should be followed whenever you are putting your unit away for the winter the ideal winterization process involves connecting a pressure washer antifreeze canister to the inlet adapter of your unit to press the button on the top of the pump saver antifreeze canister holding it down until fluid exits a pressure hose at this point you can remove the hose from the pump Inlet and your unit is is ready to be stored if you're not able to perform the ideal process you're not out of luck you can still protect your unit from Winter damage by completing the following steps disconnect all water connections from your unit turn the unit on for a few seconds until all the remaining water flows out of the pump immediately turn your unit off once this is complete store the device and its accessories in a room that does not reach below freezing temperatures it's important not to store your unit too close to furnaces radiators or other heat sources at this may dry out the internal pump seals once these steps have been completed you're ready to store your unit for the winter that brings us to the end of
