foreign [Music] of the world's population does not have access to Essential Health Services half a billion people have been pushed into extreme poverty by Health expenses they cannot afford the covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated this situation through limiting access to health services including essential sexual and reproductive Health as a result the World Health Organization in partnership with multiple stakeholders is developing tools and guidance to support countries in their efforts towards achieving Universal Health Coverage including for sexual and reproductive health and rights Universal Health Coverage means that individuals and communities receive the health services they need without financial hardship achieving this will call for strengthening Health Systems resilience underpinned by Primary Health Care in response together with Partners who has developed a handbook on critical considerations and actions for achieving universal access to sexual and reproductive Health in the context of Universal Health Coverage through a primary health care approach is designed for decision makers researchers specialists Civil Society organizations and anyone working towards universal access to sexual and reproductive Health Services it provides a blend of strategic actions for planning and implementing National Health policies and for including sexual and reproductive Health Services in health benefit packages as well as operational actions for integrating sexual and reproductive Health Service delivery into the health system and for Designing and implementing accountability processes and measures the handbook also addresses specific economic social and cultural contexts that influence access to sexual and reproductive Health Services these are reinforced by a range of country case studies showcasing innovative ways in which sexual and reproductive Health Services have been integrated into primary health care strategies at National level the lessons in the handbook show that progress towards universal access to sexual and reproductive Health Services demands meaningful participation of the beneficiaries especially those who are most Left Behind together using approaches described in the who handbook we can ensure that every person can realize their sexual and Reproductive Rights through lifetime access to meaningful Healthcare foreign [Music]
