if you're starting with a blog or you have a website to promote a small store an Etsy or you're looking into affiliate marketing then Pinterest is your best chance to get traffic to whatever website or storefront or whatever it is that you want to get traffic to Pinterest makes it so easy to get people to click off of Pinterest and onto whatever web page you're looking for so I just wanted to go in you can see here it says that I have 947 th000 Impressions but I actually am over a million it just hasn't updated for today at 1.15 million uh you can see here um the actual number is and this is a all from a strategy I started on Thursday December 12th so you saw like a small increase and then it starts going and going and and then non-stop like just Pinterest just growing and growing and so I know now how to do that and how to keep it going and I'm just going to show you some higher level stuff for what you need to do in order to get the traffic to your website as well so you can see here in the last 21 days that's like the growth I mean in like less 21 days um which is 3 weeks to get to a million impressions and I think it's just going to continue to grow and grow which is incredible basically first thing that we need to talk about um I'm just you like a bit of an overview here is what Niche you're going to be in so when it comes to Pinterest there are a few niches that do better than others so some popular ones are home decor recipes fashion DIY and all of those are I'm going to show you on here you see that they also have seasonal Trends as well within there I would to change it to us just because there's a larger market there but my Niche before switching over a little bit was remote jobs which is still a good Niche on Pinterest and it still did well for me but pairing that with home decor and office Decor has really improved my Pinterest so much so if you have a niche for your blog or your website or your Etsy store and it isn't necessarily something that is perfect for Pinterest you can always slightly adjust it so that it is good for Pinterest so you can see here these are some popular interests on Pinterest here obviously there are some that are better than others for getting lots of views to your Pinterest account so for instance like I mentioned home decor is big food and drinks is Big finance a big one DIY and crafts that's always big you know that are just terrible for growing a Blog which like for like quotes is a terrible Niche for a Blog because there's no reason for people to click through to it so when it comes to picking your Niche you want something that provides value for people in a visual way but also gets them to click through to your blog so for instance I show you what I mean here so I'm going to just pull over my canva account and just show you some of my templates here so these ones are my free templates that you can download using the link below and these have been helping me so much recently with growing my Pinterest so quickly and the way get people to click through is with text overlay so for in instance I mean I put all this text on here so that people knew is about templates but um these allow people to know what your PIN is about and what it's leading towards and you can make it very visual visually pretty as well by adding pictures into it from the blog post biggest thing is adding a number and listicles do so well on Pinterest so if you want to do well on Pinterest you need to adjust your content for Pinterest which is like the lesson that I learned because although remote drops were doing well for me the things that were doing better were 21 home office ideas and it just takes a little bit of adjusting to really pop off on Pinterest so if you are in a fitness uh Niche instance and you want to do well on Pinterest even though Fitness already kind of does well on Pinterest you can incorporate other things that also do really well on Pinterest so if you're doing it on Fitness you can talk about healthy recipes these are 15 healthy recipes that help me lose 30 lbs you do the best 15 sports bras on Amazon and then have affiliate links for that as well so those are the kinds of things that you need to look into if you want to do well on Pinterest and these are some of the templates that I created that you can download for free I also have some paid ones um in link below as well if you are looking for even more I'm always changing it but that's basically what you need to know about Niche selection and you can expand you don't need to be in such a small Niche and only post about that stuff especially on Pinterest Pinterest doesn't care to only have your things going out to one Niche like I been able to post pins on my one account to my one website on food recipes on home decor and I just relate it all back to the overarching niche which is about remote working so there are possibilities to further expand but if you want to do well on Pinterest you need to do your keyword research and your Niche selection for things that will do well on Pinterest so going off of that I talked a little bit about appealing posts but other things that I do well with Pinterest is just having these plain pictures as well so although I do have ones show like the text overlay these pictures do really well for inspiration as well they don't get as many click-throughs but they still do get click-throughs and people save them to their boards saves to me are very important I know everybody wants to focus on engagement but saves show Pinterest that you are trustworthy it shows Pinterest that the things that you are posting people like and they engage with and they interact with it so I like posting these more just like savable images with the other images that have text overlay if that makes sense so this is all just about creating pins that are visually appealing for people to click through to the other thing that you want to make sure that that you do is that you are posting consistently so I have been posting consistently around 30 to 60 pins a day for the last 3 weeks which is why I saw this explosion of growth and with the templates I'm able to do it very quickly less than an hour a day just creating the pins because I already have all of the content created I just linked to it um and that is creating a content calendar or just scheduling and keeping track of your post so that's how I'm doing this here I showed in my last video how I made this so um you can see it in there if you want to but all I do is every time I write a new blog post I put it in here with the number of images even though this isn't that necessary to be honest but and I also put the last time it was posted on Pinterest because I want to keep track of when I posted it so that one I'm not posting too many times to the same URL but two that I am posting to all of the URLs that I have available you want to make sure that you're keeping track of it so that you're not spamming Pinterest and that you're also keeping track of the types of pins that you use for um this you want to just switch things up you don't want to keep posting the same thing over and over again Pinterest really values new content so that is part of the consistent posting schedule as well and we also need to talk about keyword research so I love using pin clicks um I an affiliate link with them if you do want to try pin clicks out um I in every single one of my videos because I just love the tool so much um if you use the link in my bio I do make a small commission I'm really appreciative if you use it you also don't have to um but love pin pin because it shows you things that you can't just find on Pinterest so I love especially using the keyword research and the interest Explorer so when we were in here before and we were looking at interest so like let's we're looking at home decor you see like this more like seasonal stuff but we can pick any keyword here let's see find a good one luxury dorm room that's very interesting let's try that maybe I'll just search dorm room for interest Explorer and it'll give me related keywords I make sure I filter it to related interest so I can see other things but uh these are other keywords and interest that are doing well on Pinterest currently so when you click through to it you can see how many people are searching through this on Pinterest and these are annotated interest that Pinterest has listed things as um I don't know how to explain it properly but like there's so many interests versus keywords keywords like so many but interests are the specific things that Pinterest has said to categorize things and so for here you can see um that 721 people search this a month so not terrible not the best but I just like being able to see what I like being able to see the search volume for things so that you know what to create so this is how I do my keyword research for finding keywords to write about for blog posts so you can do it that way or you can just search it on keywords here and it's starting to show now so let's luxury dorm room was it dorm room or rooms dorm room so we'll search it under keywords and I should have also searched under interest Explorer let's search it under both because we're going to see if Pinterest has it as its own oh it does have it kind of luxury dorm room yeah so does have it as its own um interest just think it was going to but it does because 177,000 people are searching this so this would be a great post to write about if are in the same Niche for this but you can also see it in the keyword research here and then you can also see related keywords here so if this is a keyword you're going after you can look and see the top pins that are on Pinterest for this related keyword and then once it loads it gives it a pin score and then it shows you how many saves the position when you are logged out of Pinterest and what day they were created and it's really fascinating to me how many of were created within the last couple of weeks that is showing you that these very good keywords to write about because they're doing really well right now but they're also loving new content so you're able to write a blog post about it I would even create a board for this and then create pins for it and your pins should look similar to what's trending if you want it to do well so this for instance it's showing you that there's all of these beds that are just the pictures of the dorm rooms so for this for instance if I was going to make a pin for it if so I would write the blog post I would create a board for it because the search volume is so high and then I would create um like 10 pins all for this blog post schedule them out over the next couple of days and I would just use all of these keywords in the captions and in the descriptions so um this one for instance you can see the annotated interest so I would include all of these in your descriptions descriptions and also the board descriptions so that those pins can start doing well right away so these are the types of things and these are the ways that you're going to do well on Pinterest is by creating content and creating it often and you can use the different keyword tools you can use Pinterest Trends to find things but it's all about creating new content for Pinterest and creating it often and staying consistent so that is how I sort of shifted my Approach and started doing really well on Pinterest really quickly and I'm going to keep sharing everything that I did to
