Getting Started

  1. Complete the Course List

    • Access the course or playlist under the OBE system.
    • The course or subject names will appear for course coordinators.
    • Example: Selecting a subject like 'Alternative'.
  2. Enter Initial Details

    • Program Name: Example - ECE
    • Effective Date: Select appropriate date, e.g., June 2019 or relevant batches.
    • Subject Category: Type the category (e.g., Engineering Science).
    • Course Code: Enter subject name and code.
    • Credits and Hours: Specify lecture and practical hours (e.g., 2 hours practical, 3 hours lecture).
  3. Preambles and Syllabus

    • Copy and paste the subject preamble.
    • Copy and paste the syllabus.
    • Include textbooks and reference books information.
    • Add concept maps.

Defining Course Outcomes (CO)

  1. CO Levels and Mapping

    • Write the course outcome (CO) in the cognitive learning domain.
    • Specify the CO level.
    • Map each CO to relevant Program Outcomes (PO) with levels (strong, medium).
    • Example Mapping:
      • CO1: PO1, PO2 (medium), PO3 (strong)
    • Set expected attainment (e.g., 60%).
  2. Adding More COs

    • Add additional COs and ensure complete mapping with POs.

Assessment Patterns

  1. Define Formative Assessments

    • CA1, CA2, CA3 for first-year subjects.
    • Assign percentage marks for each CA (e.g., 20% for CA1).
    • Specify the assessment patterns.
  2. Question Papers

    • Use question banks to create question papers.
    • Include any necessary comments, header, and footer.
  3. Submit Course Outlay

    • Review and submit the course outlay.
    • Ensure all elements such as preamble, COs, Bloom levels, syllabus, textbooks, and concept maps are included.

Review and Finalize

  • Option to print the created subject outlay for review.
